Homeless2BNY
This is a custom made bracket to adapt a GM 110 amp alternator to our StarQuests. We all had the same problems with our weak stock Mitsubishi alternators burning up, so this bracket will allow you to adapt a great and stronger brand new GM alternator. These brackets I have are made of solid 6061 top quality aluminum and all hardware is Grade 8. They fit great and are made really strong, so there will be no flexing or bending. Ok so this is only half of what you will need to do the conversion. After you have the bracket you need to go ahead and call Gene McGowan at 1-877-734-3381, thay are a wholesale supplier and has been in business for over 35 years. Just tell him Mark or Kelly said to call for a StarQuest GM alternator. these Alternators are LIFETIME WARRANTY.He will put on a correct V-belt pulley and give you a new pig tail to go with it. I got one to my door for around $111.95 with the pig tail. If you want to do the kit you can get a hold of me(Mark) at Homeless2b@aol.com, leave me your number and i will call you back and answer any questions you have best i can or I'll email you back my cell number. Or just reply on this post. Price: $45+$7 for shipping. Oh! And I'm designing and making other parts also to help these cars too. So I'll let you know when they come. http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/6585/starquestgmaltadaptors0tf6.th.jpg http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/2810/starquestgmaltadaptors0jd5.th.jpg http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/8977/starquestgmaltadaptors0us9.th.jpg http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/439/starquestgmaltadaptors0zb3.th.jpg http://img154.imageshack.us/img154/2494/senginework028tq9.th.jpg EMAIL ME FOR BETTER PICKS OF THE FINAL VERSION Edited March 28, 2008 by Homeless2BNY

It started about three days after I started selling alternators, so it's been the same for a while now. EMAIL ME FOR BETTER PICKS OF THE FINAL VERSION Why? HERE COMEZ THE GRAMMAR POLICEZ lol give this guy a break he's just tryin to make an honest buck sellin somethin... Don't down it before you get it. I'm considering getting one myself... if it turns bad then i'll flame him like theres no tomorrow, but it sounds good (based on what he's saying)
Guest Star-Orion
I haven't flamed his product. Show me where I did. I'm making the point that effective sales requires proper presentation. Look at it. Would you buy a product from a vendor who admitted to being lazy? If he can't present right, what's next? Workmanship? Service? We have too many vendors around here that have been around a long time, and they do as they please, like not returning PM's, taking forever to ship, all kinds of good stuff. I realize this guy is my competition, and my assistance to him is to show him the err of his ways, so he can present properly, and we can compete properly. If, after the presentation, he drops the ball, it's on him. Kind of like other vendors around here. Tim

scotty
Is there any belt tension adjustment to these brackets? Not sure try the PM feature .
tsiconquest88
his work with the stock ac bracket or he has a top bracket as well he is getting done and can be used with a stock tensioner bolt bracket but that is of course for people that delete a/c and a/c big bracket. i did not get a chance to put up the pics sorry guys. i told him i would that is why he did not do it, last time he did (above pics) someone complained of the dirty block and its rediculous cus its comming out of his car and getting rebuilt so i am taking a pic of my engine one that is done for all to see. i will try to get them up tomorrow. AND for the record his laziness thing was a joke, he didnt have time!!!! so get off it with the laziness nonsense directed to him.
Homeless2BNY
If there's any question as to my selling abilities, go to ebay and check out my feedback. If you are interested in my listing, thank's for checking it out. Any REAL questions or concerns, let me know. P.S. Star-onion: If you really ARE the grammar police, maybe you should let everyone on the board know when they are spelling or typing things incorrectly... NOT just the one person who is your "competition".[/b]
89PalermoSHP
4. If you disagree with the prices or method of how the person is selling or anything else with the "for sale" post - deal with it - take your business elsewhere - let it be. We don't want to turn away business to/from those who have something to offer.
sfc711
In the words of the immortal Rodney King " Can't We all Just git Along" Oh he just mugged/assaulted a couple weeks ago while riding a bicycle by ex girlfriend.
craig87
how can you see the "internal parts" of the alt he is suggesting you buy from a 3rd party. 118 for a gm cs series alt is not a super deal. I would look for one with a " iceberg"style rear bearing but, after all you are ALL adapting an alternator with an astronomical failure rate on the car.
tsiconquest88
actually ur waaay off on that alternator, it is the one offered by gene, brand new alt 110 amps it COMES with the large serp pulley but gene hooks it up with OUR pulley for starion use. at idle i am at 14 volt line and all loads at idle on with my 2 big aftermarket fans running by my manual switch in car im just below the 14 line PERFECT!!!!! starts off at 15 when cold in the am and goes to normal in a few mins. and i rev my s*** out when i race so idk what u mean by this high rpm thing but i dont get a sqeal or antyhing from the belt and i dont lose voltage
tsiconquest88
oh AND i have a damn washer sittin in the alternator lol still goin baby haha

On this type of car? GM did have failures after 100K miles, but back then, that was good. That's why there are several upgrade cases made aftermarket. They don't fail near as bad in the correct environment. We know what the internal parts of that alternator are.
tsiconquest88
no failure rate on this alt, PERFECT!!! if one went to *DM's site u might get to experience the best gm 110 anyone has offered around the sites for conversion  and new and CHEAP!!! failure is not even in the vocab for these ones, the guy is a pro with these and no reman case or parts whatsoever, havent heard a problem yet, and gm parts really arent that bad, every manufacturer has its issues, after working for subaru gm are like gold lol
Homeless2BNY
the pulleis on the new alts. are stock StarQuest size, but if you need something suted to a specific engine app Gene can probably help you out.
tsiconquest88
no the pulleys are the serpentine gm but he puts the starion pulley on it for us.
