Well as most of you know the car made it almost to PF, then was trailered the rest of the way. Everyone feverously worked together to get the car running again and back home. Runs awesome now and after replacing a power steering line, it will start being driven quite frequently, I suspect.

We kinda held off on final pics until after PF because we wanted it to be kind of a suprise for those who were going- guess the suprise was on us LOL. Anyway, I know alot of you wanted pics and most of the ones from PF show it in various stages of disassembly, so I had a little photo shoot....

Still have alot more to do with the trunk as far as finishing off the stereo, but you get the idea.

Its been a long, hard road. I've been waiting a while to see this car done and be able to post these pics.

I am impressed. You two clearly have a ton of man-hours in that car, and 8 weeks goes by really fast if your only working on it in your spare time. Watching this thread was almost like watching a two-person, internet version of Overhauling.

Mark you and Kate have done an awesome job, especially in the amount of time you had to put that together. Now that your about complete with that one, I guess you can find a rust free roller for yours. If so then get to work PF07 is right around the corner

I can't say it better than anyone else Mark, but ya'll have done a damn fine job on that car. To start with what you had and end up with what you have in just 8 short weeks is just short of amazing. Love the work and the sheer beauty of that car.... job well done.

Mark, and Kate,

This is totally awesome. I love what you did to the car, and I love how it all came together in such a short timeframe. Most people build cars over years....hell...look at mine. Yours came together in weeks! And every portion of the car was worked on. The brakes, the engine, the suspension, and most notably, cosmetics. It's one thing to toss on a paint job, something else entirely to give a car a full interior and exterior makeover. And the spread of the cosmetic makeover is simply amazing. From the custom front clip to the raver lights in the console, all very cool.

Congrats to you for building a one of a kind car, and for the inspiration to bring my car to PF next year.

By the way....stay tuned on my car....I have something interesting for all in the works.

Tim

Thanks for all the compliments, guys

I'm sure you are going to be getting a lot of other wanting you to paint their car.

Probably, but I'm not for sale anymore. I will be detailing cars this summer, but that is the only side work I'll be taking on. Its quick, easy money whereas body work takes some time and I never feel like I made enough on my labor (for $10/hour I'd just rather work on my own cars). Details are easy money. I can do one for $100, spend 3 hours on it, and still be charging the guy 1/2-2/3 the price he'd pay at a detailing place.

Between doing body jobs last year and all the detail stuff, I really negelected Kate last year. That is why this year is all about getting her car going. Now that PF is over and things are starting to settle down, I can wrap up the little issues on Kate's car, then get some stuff done on the truck to get it ready for winter. Then when winter hits, it will be time to swap all the stuff from my 89 into a nice rust-free, southern shell.
