speedyquest
I will say if your spending the money on a manifold then buy one from Ronnie at JDL. I bought might a few months ago and am nothing but happy with it. Its built by a guy who loves what he does and stands behind his product. They are also at a great price. NotStock88
The treadstone manifold has a HORRIBLE location for the external w/g but other than that I have heard nothing but good things about it. the eBay crappy one is just that
kaaos
what about the factory manifold to t3 adapter, thinking about a hx35, what else would I need for 375 whp?
speedyquest
375hp is doable on a stock manifold, a td05h 18g, and both the supporting mods including fuel along with a proper way of tuning. EDIT: I was incorrect, an 18g will not get you to the upper 300's. You would need something like a TD06 20g. And from reading I've done you will need to do some serious work to feed that beast. ucw458
I'm running a GT35 with a T3 to DSM adapter on a ported stock manifold.
Funky Phil
I made 498whp on a stock manifold and T4 adapter. If you pinching pennys, thats the best choice. Otherwise pay for quality and what you want. A bunch of owners have put out 300+ on stock manifolds. TSIREX
I seen a write up on sqc about porting the stock manifold and flange with smoothing out the inside for better flow. Just got to make sure the manifold has no cracks to invest time into it. When using bigger turbos on stock manifold and 8cm exhaust housing, have the wastegate smoothed out too. TSIREX
Turbo lab to me is by far more bang for your buck when keeping the 8cm exhaust and trying to shoot for 300hp. For now.
eduardo castellanos
I have a treadstone and i love it as i have no issues what so ever. The external waste gate is located in a good position as i did not have any issues fitting a tial 38mm waste gate.
ucw458
Cracked manifolds can be welded if done properly. Pre-heat is the key. Grind a groove over the crack for good penetration. Then heat the weld area till it's slightly glowing and weld it.
