LSQuest88
Just like the title says, I'm curious what a pair of 9" shp wheels are bringing. I have a pair that I'm thinking of getting rid of for some cash to get some more parts...or possibly work out a trade on some near mint starion tail lights (if anybody reading this has some). I didn't really want to ship them but not sure if I'll get any bites locally. They are about 6.5-7 out of 10 on condition. They have been spray painted silver and black due to some of the little spider web corrosion I was to lazy to polish out at the time. One was cracked on the lip when I got it, but had it professionally welded and can't tell now. They come with tires that have about half tread left. If you could help me out on an asking price or suggestions that'd be great. If this is in the wrong place to let me know. Thanks guys!
IntercooledFlatty
most will prob say about $150~ $200 each, going on the description and no pics. i say differently, these are very hard to come by these days, like 83 tails ( BC99 ) and 83 hoods i say they should go for much more, like these for $600 shipped...yes, $600 shipped http://i.imgur.com/Hgsbru1.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/FaThhaa.jpg
kev
I'd say the average price ranges from $300 to $400 for a decent set of rear 9s. The weld repair may deter some though but a few pics may cure that concern. Personally I wouldn't be bothered by the paint but some people may. LSQuest88
Ya I figured once i list them I'd provide pics. I know I haven't seen any pop up lately so I figured they're getting hard to find. I've tracked the car and had no problem with the weld, the guy did a great job welding it. I figured it wouldn't be hard to take the paint off if someone really doesn't like it. And yes I've seem pictures of BC'S stash of 83 tails lol its insane

LSQuest88
Yes I will be eventually. Probably won't be for a couple weeks til I list them though. I'm going on a 3,000 mile trip in my car in less than 2 weeks and I'll be busy til then going through and making sure my car is up for it and doing a few things to it. Probably won't get a chance to list them til mid june. Being they have tires on them I don't have the spare time to figure out shipping and if someone wants the tires dismounted til after I get back. So I will be listing them. Just wanted to get a fair amount to ask for them first Edited May 26, 2015 by LSQuest88
Fuze
http://i.imgur.com/FaThhaa.jpg That rim ain't even round lol, hope it went to a 240 kid. Just my .02 but I like the bigger lip of an 8" better than the deeper dished center of a 9"... I'm prolly the only one though.
speedyquest
Fuze I'm with you actually. I'd love the extra inch of rubber but the 8" rears are much more aggressive looking. http://i.imgur.com/WkftCxz.jpg Edited May 28, 2015 by speedyquest
mbruneaux
I honestly haven't seen the difference between the two, I know I like the 8s on the front much more than the 7s. I will have to pay more attention to the 9's.http://i984.photobucket.com/albums/ae322/mbruneaux/Conquest%20with%208s%20smaller_zps7ufara32.jpg
Fuze
^^ 9's have a smaller lip than 8's, the center section is more concave so it comes out farther toward the edge of the rim. I prefer an 8 with a spacer to bring it out. Not like you can't run the same tires.
mbruneaux
I would have to agree I prefer the bigger lip to the more concave look.
