notabulbasaur
I have a brand new engine from a non intercooled starion or conquest and I have no idea how to value it but don't really need it. Any advise on where to begin in placing a value on it? It is complete brand new turbo and all accessories. speedyquest
When you say brand new engine do you mean it is a rebuild? Is everything new on it? I'm only asking because others will ask the same thing. Maybe posting pictures will help as well.

creakyjoints
Pretty cool. I would think head and pan would need to be removed after sitting so long in a shed. My guess is 750/850.
93 GSX TURBO
Hell it looks complete. Did you order it originally?

tsi_tom
Now there is something you don't see everyday. I would say it is worth $450-$500. Are you selling it?
notabulbasaur
Yeah if I get a good offer.
Guest
I don't mean to be a "Negative Nancy"... but why does it look used? I know 20 years of storage, but is that hard water deposit on the water pump outlet?
Dad
No airconditioning and where is pcv hose connecting to?

notabulbasaur
That is foil tape on the water pump outlet and just a random hose stuck on the pcv.
psu_Crash
Have you checked to see if it is locked up? Just sitting that long is usually not a good thing for engines. Any rubber seals (mains, VC, etc) should be checked out as best you can. Rubber likes to dry out and crack when it sits like that.
notabulbasaur
No it's not seized and all the seals look surprisingly well intact but haven't really picked at them to see if they are still soft.
notabulbasaur
I also have an 88 parts car but I guess I should post that in the cars section...
techboy
IMO I'd say it's also worth about 400 to 500. That's just my opinion though. It's you're right to ask whatever you want. Unfortunately, it most likely has to be torn down, gone over, and have gaskets replaced just b/c it's been sitting. Otherwise it'd probably be worth 250-300 more. If the story is in fact true, that's it's a NOS motor, that's pretty cool.
Guest
Be interesting to see someone buy it, installed it and fire it up.
Dad
IMHO, worth more than 500 I have paid 500 just for used engines. these are getting harder to find.
