Difference in the M28 head and Magna M6

Yes the right hand water port on the intake side is the same size as on the left on a magna and the stock TBI won't cover it. You have to TIG some material in there or make an adapter plate.

 

The magna's flow more because the SSR (short side radius) is much better on the M6 and M7 heads. The M28 heads really don't have a radius, more like a cliff.

My buddy has a magna head with tbi. Like stated, he had to have someone weld metal onto the intake to cover the coolant passage and I had to custom cut a gasket for this. He plans on using mpi at some point. The intake passages are larger than the passages on the tbi intake. My bet is that to optimise the flow of the head you would need a well ported intake and throttle body paired with larger intercooler tubing or a magna intake.
