Funky Phil
wrenches wont work? I use sockets to remove stock monts without issue Edited May 8, 2014 by Funky Phil
randy
Anymore of these left?
Woody
Yeah I can only get the two bolts attached to the frame. I can't take the two bolts off the engine side. I could access them if I was to remove the inlet, but that seems overkill?
wrngwae
It is a little cramped in there. Just use box wrenches. That is your best bet. The 2 bolts in the cross member are pretty straight forward. The 2 on the block are a little more tricky. But very doable.
Woody
Thanks, do you use these type? or the straight type? http://www.ultimategarage.com/shop/images/55series-400.jpg
wrngwae
Either those or the straight open end box wrench. I used a 1/4 in flex head fine tooth ratchet after I got them broke loose and for install. Go back to the wrenches for final tightening.

Woody
Got it installed. The Funk Lock is SOOOO much easier and nicer to install than the stock mount. Only issue I had was I had to use shorter bolts on the chassis because of the design it didn't allow the bolt to go through easily. But that is minor. Unfortunately after putting the alternator back in, now that doesn't charge. Until I fix that I won't know how good the Funk Lock is.
