  1. I'll be there but no mountain run as my clutch slips after 5 psi.
  2. From my understanding some of the mexican blocks had thicker main caps and webbing but I've only seen it in pictures. Engines from fox bodies had forged pistons from factory up until 92.
  3. Some BMW 7 series use them. My father had a 99 740il that had that feature for the passenger side only, its helpful when parallel parking. Either way I don't know about NY but E38s are a common sight at the wrecking yards here.
  4. Look more or less like the cosmoracing coilovers.
  5. Universal studios is nice for the family. If you go on a week day to avoid the long lines then you will most likely see everything in one day. Hollywood is not bad in my experience except for the occasional homeless guy. Malibu and Santa Monica are usually crowded but that's to be expected since they're popular with tourist. I've never had any negative experiences at any beaches. You can also see the space shuttle Endeavor at the science center which is neat. They also have the tours for the USS Iowa in Long Beach. The beaches and Hollywood have to be seen when visiting Los Angeles, they might be overrated for locals but that doesn't mean you cant have a good time. Not to mention they are what made the city famous in the first place.
  6. I'm pretty sure the whiteline bushings are poly but I agree with getting the GNT kit. Their kit has all the bushings for the front and back. I don't think whiteline makes rear subframe bushings for our cars. Out of all the suspension bushings I replaced on my car, the subframe ones were the only bushings that were cracked.
  7. Not sure on the rears but I've had whiteline front control arm bushings on my car (widebody) for a couple of years. They fit perfectly as they needed to get pressed in. Got them a while ago when the mevotechs from rockauto didn't fit. This was also before the GNT bushings became available.
  8. I'd go but chances are that I'll be working that day.
  9. Perhaps I missed something but I don't think its a 4 banger. Title says 20b, that's the Mazda 3 rotor. Still impressive though.
  10. Stunt road is where I took the pic on my sig. Its a really nice drive and at the top you can see the sfv on one side and the beach on the other. I just go for the view since cops post up regularly to catch speeders. Though last time I was there the poor crown vic couldn't keep up with a 350z.
  11. Here is how I did mine a few years ago. I made it from wood from Home Depot and cloth from my local swap meet. It has a hinge center so that it folds up and I use the space underneath the drivers side as storage. I want to redo it so it goes across he top of the battery but I haven't gotten around to it. http://i550.photobucket.com/albums/ii402/sevil4/quest/IMG_20141001_110437_456.jpg
  12. Many modern cars have a similar features to amplify engine sound such as the FRS to BMW M5s. I personally find it kind of dumb but its not too uncommon these days to find a car that uses pipes or speakers to amplify engine sounds.
  13. I did my wheel bearings a month ago and the nut came off easily with an impact gun but this was after cleaning the rust and letting the nut soak in PB blaster.
  14. I passed with zero smog equipment other than a new cat and a rough maft tune. The tech didn't even realize that it was a tbi car and this was at a "gold shield" station. I know you're mpi but it looks like you're using a magna which looks oem anyways. If you have doubts about the sniffer test then ask for a pretest and they wont send the results to dmv.
  15. If you want cheap coilovers cosmoracing still has them listed for our cars. I've had them on my car for a few years with no complaints.
  16. Finally finished welding up my magna and I'm broke, so I'm unfortunately going to have to drop out.
  17. http://i550.photobucket.com/albums/ii402/sevil4/MOD%202014/_MG_8580.jpg I did not notice that it was a 4 bolt but I notice the stock diff and control arms. I think the bars tie the rear end to the parachute but what really caught my eye were the rear coilovers.
  18. http://i550.photobucket.com/albums/ii402/sevil4/MOD%202014/_MG_8612.jpg http://i550.photobucket.com/albums/ii402/sevil4/MOD%202014/_MG_8628.jpg http://i550.photobucket.com/albums/ii402/sevil4/MOD%202014/_MG_8574.jpg http://i550.photobucket.com/albums/ii402/sevil4/MOD%202014/_MG_8578.jpg http://i550.photobucket.com/albums/ii402/sevil4/MOD%202014/_MG_8576.jpg http://i550.photobucket.com/albums/ii402/sevil4/MOD%202014/_MG_8623.jpg There are a few more pictures on photobucket. That drag car had an interesting rear suspension set up.
  19. Same here, I was going to go to GMR bit I lost track of the pack and then decided to go home. I'll probably upload some picks tonight.
  20. I'm going to stick to 4:30. I think 5:30 is a little late last year I left my house like at 5, just before sunrise or so. Staff told me that I was the second to last car. The cars after that had to park in the grass.
