psu_Crash
I'm not sure it is broken. My 86 has always started without pressing in the clutch. I just figured that's how they are. Someone is sure to chime in that actually knows.
TexasQuest
Nothing is wrong. All sq's can start without pressing in the clutch pedal. No neutral safety switch from the factory.
Komeuppance
^^ Correct. The clutch switch is only used for disengaging the cruise control. -Robert
Guest
^^ Correct. The clutch switch is only used for disengaging the cruise control. -Robert Yep , old 80's cars were like this, Hondas too. Be careful with that, former employee of mine pinned one of our customers between cars when he hit the switch with car in gear. Was a Honda. Lady customer screamed bloody murder. I screamed "A LAWSUIT!!" you get the point.
tux
i distinctly remember disconnecting a wire header from the clutch pedal to "enable" this feature, on my
CaliConquestAlex
No need to press the clutch to start on my 88 quest.
vbrad511
Neutral safety switch wasn't installed on any year SQ. I've had more of them than I can remember. I did wire one up on my 88 when I put it on the road, but it took a little creativity.
