Well, got some more work done on the car. Injectors came in and we got them in and hooked up the fuel rail. Still have to clean up the rail and color match the paint to the car, but will do that when further along.

And some more progress on the MPI side as well...

And finally the intercooler is in! This is a pretty large IC...just large enough to require some customization.....

Alex thinking outside the box. Because of the size (depth) of the IC, the stock bracket wouldn't fit...so...we turned it around lol. It will eventually bolt to the front bumper brace after a little work on our end...and will serve as a mounting point for the oil cooler once it goes in.

Due to the width of the IC, a little cutting and grinding was in order to each side...

And some of Alex's hand made underbracket support for the IC...they'll look very nice when finished...just testing them out here.

All in all, very happy with how it's coming together so far. Ran into quite a few little hiccups, but have dealt with them rather handily.

Very nice!

my MPI is modded the same as yours where the Tbody mounts.

are those injectors the same length as delphi's? they look a little longer.

what CC or LB are they?

Not sure about the length...would have to ask Alex for you. They're 670cc injectors.

Nice work Nick! What size turbo?

Thanks Greg! That's a 17C in there right now...but it will eventually be going into the Mighty Max when we build it out. The Starion is going to get something a little sweeter... ;)

I need to replace mine. Do you have one picked out?

It's one out of a certain line that Summit carries...I can't remember off the top of my head...but I can find it for you when I get to the house. We were just waiting to see what kind of room we had before I picked the oil cooler dimensions.

Ok now that the bike's almost done...time to get back to work on the Starion. We should be getting the new intercooler piping mocked up this week. In the meantime, I'm getting to work on planning the interior...and what better gauges to promote a match to the exterior than the AutoMeter Cobalt series? Went ahead and ordered gauges for boost, oil pressure, water temp, and the wideband A/F so we'll be ready for tuning once we get electrical power up and running. Still have to get the EGT, tach, and speedo...but those will come later. Anyway, here's some shots of what they look like...

Speaking of electrical power...we're going to do a pretty trick batter relocate to the trunk. I'm pretty sold on the Optima Red Top...should be ordering that next week. After that we run power! Pretty soon be giving old Scotty Thompson a call about getting that rocking MSII he put together for me up and running.
