leesfer
Almost completed with my in-bay fuel lines, just need my MPI manifold to come in so I can measure out the rest of the line http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh538/leesfer/IMG_20120226_093124.jpg
leesfer
Got the Turbonetics manifold in and did a test fitment of the turbo Looks like I am going to need to use a different intercooler piping kit as the TBI isn't going to work (I was hoping I could do some tweaks but the Holset doesn't want to work with it) The Turbosmart wastegate didn't fit with the 3" downpipe so I used a neat-o eBay fix, a wastegate relocator pipe http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh538/leesfer/IMG_20120226_125532.jpg Edited February 26, 2012 by leesfer

Dred_85.5_TSI
yeah, the Treadstone is copied from the Turbonetics design
leesfer
Yup, it was a Turbonetics design but they stopped making them and Treadstone took over

Its off my parts car cracked head. If urs are mech i'll trade u. My head is hydro, completely stock rockers... I changed out the springs with Schneiders and did some exhaust side porting before I put on the exhaust manifold... my cam isn't stock though but not sure what the measurements on it are... I need to take it to a cam doctor I want to hunt down some roller rockers eventually Edited March 1, 2012 by leesfer
leesfer
Made an injector cleaner while being bored during the weekdays It's just a simple 12v wall plug connected to an injector plug with a push button switch http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh538/leesfer/IMG_20120302_184719.jpg

leesfer
And here's an update! Started mocking up all my intercooler piping and cut them all, now I just need to get my BOV welded into place for those to be complete Also I am going to need to figure out how to connect to the Holset compressor since I didn't cut it I hate how dirty the firewall looks though, I've used degreaser and a powerwasher and it still looks like that... I am going to try hand scrubbing it when isn't raining outside http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh538/leesfer/IMG_20120316_181345.jpg And here's a side-by-side of the progress so far: http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh538/leesfer/IMG_20120316_181345-1.jpg Edited March 17, 2012 by leesfer
leesfer
Since it's raining outside I started to mockup a mount to place all my MSD stuff on, it's just going to be a sheet of aluminum with all my holes drilled out to mouth the 6al, coil, ignition box, and the tach adapter The top of the coil is going to be a close fit with the hood down http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh538/leesfer/IMG_20120317_150559.jpg http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh538/leesfer/IMG_20120317_151357.jpg Edited March 17, 2012 by leesfer
SFBMX88
If your coil is epoxy filled, you can run it upside down, it could save you some hood clearance. Maybe mount the tach adapter above the coil with the coil upside down. Also, you can depin that connector on the 6AL instead of cutting the wires for cylinder selection. I did, and also filled the empty terminal gaps with silicone sealer to keep moisture out of the plug. **Just looked up your coil, and it is oil filled. leesfer
If your coil is epoxy filled, you can run it upside down. It's a MSD Blaster 2, are they epoxy filled? I'm not sure off the top of my head, I'll have to check If yes then that's a better way to go, thanks! I was also thinking of making the plug wire on the top of the coil a 90 degree angle instead Edited March 18, 2012 by leesfer
