In the process of modding my dizzy for MegaSquirt, I just need some safety wire to finish it

It needs a good scrubbing, too!

Got the head back on today and painted the valve cover wrinkle black... it didn't turn out as nice as some here but it still looks good

Thanks! The pictures make it all looking cleaning than it really is... as soon as I uploaded the images I was like "wow! that looks way better than what I was looking at 5 minutes ago!"

Got the Turbonetics manifold in and did a test fitment of the turbo

Looks like I am going to need to use a different intercooler piping kit as the TBI isn't going to work (I was hoping I could do some tweaks but the Holset doesn't want to work with it)

The Turbosmart wastegate didn't fit with the 3" downpipe so I used a neat-o eBay fix, a wastegate relocator pipe

Is ur head mech? I have a spare set of hydro crockers ajd shafts assembly. If u need it. Its off my parts car cracked head. If urs are mech i'll trade u.

My head is hydro, completely stock rockers...

I changed out the springs with Schneiders and did some exhaust side porting before I put on the exhaust manifold... my cam isn't stock though but not sure what the measurements on it are... I need to take it to a cam doctor

I want to hunt down some roller rockers eventually

Made an injector cleaner while being bored during the weekdays

It's just a simple 12v wall plug connected to an injector plug with a push button switch

  • 2 weeks later...

And here's an update!

Started mocking up all my intercooler piping and cut them all, now I just need to get my BOV welded into place for those to be complete

Also I am going to need to figure out how to connect to the Holset compressor since I didn't cut it

I hate how dirty the firewall looks though, I've used degreaser and a powerwasher and it still looks like that... I am going to try hand scrubbing it when isn't raining outside

And here's a side-by-side of the progress so far:

Since it's raining outside I started to mockup a mount to place all my MSD stuff on, it's just going to be a sheet of aluminum with all my holes drilled out to mouth the 6al, coil, ignition box, and the tach adapter

The top of the coil is going to be a close fit with the hood down

If your coil is epoxy filled, you can run it upside down, it could save you some hood clearance. Maybe mount the tach adapter above the coil with the coil upside down. Also, you can depin that connector on the 6AL instead of cutting the wires for cylinder selection. I did, and also filled the empty terminal gaps with silicone sealer to keep moisture out of the plug.

**Just looked up your coil, and it is oil filled.

It's a MSD Blaster 2, are they epoxy filled? I'm not sure off the top of my head, I'll have to check

If yes then that's a better way to go, thanks!

I was also thinking of making the plug wire on the top of the coil a 90 degree angle instead
