  1. Welcome to the boards, lots of good info here.
  2. I love my 280z, im actually picking up another this week, a clean 77 280.
  3. Yeah the 4g63/64 wideblocks are really hard to find, I just got my 6 bolt 4g64 bottom end today actually and there almost impossible to find.
  4. No, the 4g63 bottom end is narrowblock and the starion tranny is for a wideblock.
  5. Received my 4g64/63 stuff today, thanks frenchi, nice work skidding that stuff, very well done. Tyler is a great seller,he went out of his way to ship this stuff to me and everything arrived in great condition and packaged like a pro, would definitely buy parts from him again. Thanks man
  6. Hopefully I helped free up some room in your garage so you can work, I know I won't mind my new addition to mine..lol
  7. For $450 dollars I will sell you my starion tail lights, that's crazy. Instead of paying that for tail lights take that money and put it into the engine where it counts. And $850 dollars for an 83 hood is downright ridiculous, and I thought the guy who offered me $500 for my vented 280z hood was crazy.
  8. i had the same problem a while back and it was a bad connection in the harness below the fusible links, its been a few years ago so i dont rember exactly but i removed the battery and the cover and followed the wire that comes out of the bottom of the f.l box checking all the connections and found it. might help, might not..but its free to check and easy enough.
  9. Napa can get them, for me it was $40 dollars after shipping for a ten pack, but they did get them. Took about a week to get here though.
  10. Beat me to it frenchie, lol as an aditional note there would be no benifit to using the non-turbo block, and it would cost more to machine. The 4g64 block is GREAT, if you have the money and I mean big money you can build a very awsome engine using the 64 block. For most people building the g54 is the most economical option.
  11. In a perfect world firearms wouldn't be necessary, but this is not a perfect world and there are bad people, that said it's our right to bear arms for a reason. And if more people took advantage of the right less criminals would be willing to go waltzing into any house they choose. You don't have to agree with the guns existence to understand its necessity. Guns are here to stay and criminals are more than willing to use them, good citizens need to do the same.
  12. Has anyone found a fix for this yet other than using dolphin, I prefer to use the native browser but I've been using dolphin to use the site for the last week. I've had dolphin forever but I don't like it as much. Plus I've read that dolphin has some serious privacy flaws and that I don't like.
  13. Yeah me too, been like that almost a week now and it's driving me nuts. It makes it very difficult to sign in and post, or do anything for that matter.
  14. The pic looks wrong to me, the mating mark on the very outer edge of the gear should be at 3:00 and that would put the other mating mark at 11:58, there's a timing mark on the inside of the head that lines up with the outer mark.
  15. I'll be there, if I can't get my car back on the road by then I'll drive Eric's spare. Im sure he would love that, both his quest's at the same meet Hopefully mine will be roadworthy though.
  16. I want this, I'm pretty far away though. Any way we could work out shipping to ohio?
  17. Valid point about the dairy, I personally love dairy foods. And yogurt is extremely good for you, puts good bacteria in your body which helps fight bad bacteria. My son eats yogurt every day and he's five and has never had the flu. It's the processing that causes the most harm to our diets. Natural suger is not as bad for you but most people probably don't even know that it exist. I think the biggest problem is that we have for the most part been misled by advertising and lack of knowlege of what is healthy on a wide scale. Diabetes is going to take over in our lifetime as the number one killer and fifty years ago it was utterly unheard of. The food companies add sugers and salt to everything that we eat. Salt on its own isn't terrible we actually need a certain amount of it in our diets but it's become a problem because the packaged foods we buy have so much of it in it as preservatives. Best thing to do as stated above is to eat as much fresh foods as you can and watch your bad food intake. It's like running bad gas it eventually causes problems and then you need an overhaul. I quit eating fast food compleatly a few years back and I've never felt better, now I just need to exercise more..
  18. Running's not for me..lol, I do like to ride a bike though and its not so hard on my knees. I'm not a big swimmer but those who have access to a pool or body of water whatever I've always heard its a great way to stay fit, easy on the joints too.
  19. This is good advice, we naturally eat horrible here in the states, most people never consider where there food even comes from. And. It's been proven no matter how good dairy foods are, our bodys are not made to digest them. Exercise and eat more whole grains. That's the best place to start. Stay away from processed foods is a big one also. Fast food is a big reason were the number one obease country. Edit: check out the movie "food inc." You will think twice about eating fast food and processed foods again.
  20. Nice work, I've always gotten into photography. One of these days I'll knock the dust off my old cannon and start shooting again.
  21. Is that a galaxy 500? Man I love those cars. I had always wanted one, just not a car you see anymore. You got some pics?
  22. Your cars really coming along great, I like the injector cleaner/tester great idea. Might go out and jimmy one up myself.
  23. Dome light circuit 8-65 in the fsm. The seatbelts are related to the door switch which is on the same circuit as your dome lights, looking at the diagrams I would rule out fusible links and relays. I think it's a ground, 8-10 in the fsm check the #4 ground and the #7 ground and see that they have good contact. If you can't test them remove them and clean the surface with a wirebrush or sandpaper ect. and then tighten back down. I'm not exactly sure about the light for the e-levers but they may be on that same circuit also. Good luck, hope this helps.
  24. Man I am really digging this swap, this is the swap I have been dreaming about for years and the fact that it's finally being done is a great, but I am strictly a manual transmission guy and would like to know if this can be done using a manual tranny, or even the stock tranny for mild setups? Good work guys the engine truly looks like its at home in a starquest, can't wait to see how this build pans out.
  25. Hey you better save one for me, forgot to say somthing to you last week when you was down, I'll pay for it...lol
