Here is a picture of my 1976 Dodge D-200 (10,000 GVW) Pick Up taken in 1992. I bought her new in 1976.

Because she was rated at 10,000 GVW she was always smog exempt. She has a 440 RB Cu In engine, 6 Pak Carb Induction system, Mopar Purple Stick "HI- PO" cam, upgraded Mopar CD breakerless ignition system, 1964 Max Wedge Heads with the matching Mopar Max Wedge Headers w/3.5" ID exhaust system w/Thrush mufflers, BIG 3 pass Mopar D - 400 radiator, modified 1974 Mopar A-833 4 speed trans with a "Granny" first gear, Michigan custom fabbed suspension coils & leaf springs, Bilstien Shocks, Dana 60 Sure Grip Dif w/3.90 gear ratio, running 16.5" wheels.

Depending on how she was tuned, we could get 15 MPG on the Interstates running on the middle 2 barrel (300 CFM) Holley carb, towing our boat to launch ramps throughout the Western USA, or the VW dune buggies out to the CA desert - about 2 to 3 tons. But when you down shifted and nailed her and the other 2 Holley carbs (500 CFM EACH) kicked in, she'd set you back in the seat at 65 MPH. I had her on a chassis dyno once in about '82, running leaded (ya had to know someone at an airport) premium gas and she put out about 465 HP, with about 425 Ft Lbs of torque.

I have lost track of her cuz I sold her to an old friend of mine in San Diego, CA a couple of years ago. He used her as a trailer tow vehicle for his drag strip cars. He passed away last year.

For What It's Worth.

Back before I painted it. When it was all ratty and I actually drove the wheels off of it. Now it sits in the garage and I think about working on it.

I owned this one for 10 years - completely stock when I first got her.....no, its not the quest, but still loved it. I guess I have always loved the way flared out fenders look, it brings an agressive looking stance to it.
