Real carbon??? Please elaborate and by all means feel free to make me a set. :D

EDIT: Whoops, upon futher review I can see that the carbon pattern does not extend to inside the radio panel bin. Either way, that looks totally bada$$.

LOL good eye! it is 3M dry carbon film, best looking stuff i have ever seen. It will stretch and take most shapes and sticks really well. I have never been one to like fake carbon but i like it much better than painting the console back to the silver black mist or alternative color.I plan to have te dash covered in leather and do the carbon accents through out the interior with out going overboard.

Thanks everyone it is getting very close! The car is being painted and he expects to have it back to me before Christmas, i think i have everything else about ready so it will be just a matter of re assembling the car and interior. I am really anxious to be driving it, i will post pictures as the painted parts are completed.

C'mon Scott!!...this thing better be at the Import showdown in May!!!

:unsure: I would think so but it has been slow going! The car is back in the basement and I am going to start the re assembly this week. I dropped the interior off at the upholstrey shop Saturday and he said the seats would be done in a week or so. Cant wait to see them i had the factory seats redone in Black leather with black suede inserts. The door panels will have a matching black insert and the dash is being re-dyed and the gauge hood is being sewn with the matching suede. I almost opted for white or yellow stiching but i was afraid i wouldnt like it and they arent cheap so.

I dont have any wheels picked out yet but i am runnig out of stuff to buy so it must be close..right?

pictures of the assembled body this week end.. maybe.. then its got to be color sanded and buffed.

I have really stalled on finishing my white 89 gullwing project, but I recently had a chance to pick up a 89 yellow roller that needed a motor. So I have recently deided to use some of my existing parts and new parts to bring the yellow car back to life.

I started by stripping the engine compartment and respray the factory yellow paint.

<img src="http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg1/pagemo/1019081314a.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

<img src="http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg1/pagemo/1019081709a.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

<img src="http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg1/pagemo/IMG00032-20081129-1754.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Then I finished assembly on the motor I had in the white car. Basically the same set up I had before, new rod and main bearings, replaced the a crower rod, and new Ross pistons to replace the wiseco's. Had the whole thing machined and the assembly balanced.

also had the head O ringed adn some more port work for the M7 casting, with the same OS SS valves and HD springs. I am also sticking with the Cam I ran last.

<img src="http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg1/pagemo/IMG00028-20081129-1752.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

I will hopefully get it set in place tomorrow and start hooking up the computer and wiring.

Looks good.
