Needs wider tires. The tires don't fit those rims good at all. ...

???

Umm, yeah its called the V.I.P. look in Japan. Its slowly catching on over here, so thats why a lot of people think it looks funny, its supposed to be stretched...c'mon. About more pics, I would have loved to take some, but a guy just bought them off me today for $2,300 for his JZA80! So yeah, untill the next shipment comes in, (end of Jan.) I will have so settle for my polished 7 & 8's.  :-/

I don't really like it :-/

The "VIP look" looks like crap to me, but it seems as though quite a few people like it.  Wherever your tastes lead ya, eh?

i agree. i like tires that FIT the rim. i call it the "it's all the used tire shop had look" or "IATUTSH look"

FYI......

Putting skinny tires on rims that are wider than the suggested rim width isn't really a "look". It's done for a reason. If you stretch the sidewall out as much as possible, you have no sidewall that needs to roll over, I.E. RAZOR sharp turn-in. Drifters like this for a number of reasons...

On a street car, with real-world pot holes and curbs....I wouldn't do it, it's dangerous, tire widths have reccomended rim widths for a reason.

I like good looking wheels, but I don't like rims that stick past the tire or outside the fender.

I seen plenty of that in Chicago 10 years ago.  1/2 the susuki sidekicks I seen had wheels and tires mostly outside the fender.  I guess I'm closer to Mike's "good deal.." thought.

18*13.5®  ???

unless you have relocated the rear struts, it is physically impossible to fit wheels larger than 11" wide in the back unless they stick out of the fender and they don't look like they are sticking out in the back.

Like everyone said its hard to tell from the pic but i think it looks nice.

slowstarion has it right about the tires.  but its only good for drifting.  you dont want side wall flex on a drift car so you can break the tires loose easy and they dont roll over when you put some Gs on them.  on a street car or a car you want to handle, especially with wider tires you need that side wall flex.  think of your tire just like your differential.  when you go around a turn your outside tire is spinning faster then your inside tire.  same thing happens on your tire only its done with deflection.  the outter part of your tire is going faster then the inner part of your tire. This is why your tires squeal.  suspension is designed with this in mind.  This is why you have quicker steering with a thinner tire up front because you have the tire deflection to account for.

yeah i think the rims would be nice if not chromed also.

the strecthed tires is a big euro thing also. was heard it was good for drifting. tire roll and what not. i know nothing about it though. i think it looks strange.

but another very deep deep deep dish rim my favorite rim is the work s1c termistthe back rim is dished as long as a sharpie marker. like 6 inch dish

17 x 11.5 rears i beleive.

some day when i have a fully built car, i will worry about PRETTY rims

ill look for a pic though. they are sick
