i installed a oil pressure gauge in the side of the block

and mounted the sender on the fire wall.

i got the Kunigawa -4 A/N by 1/8 BSPT ( tapered )

then ordered the 4 an hose from Pegasus racing pre-made.

can get them from anywhere.

just measure the length you need and get the closest to your needs

it is PTFE teflon lined SS hose

1/8 NPT Female to -4 A/N adapter

depending on your sender pressure device most are 1/8 NPT and some are tapered. so be sure to get the proper adapter.

on a side note i linked a different hydraulic web site in the past. i can no longer find my link that had a great selection of adapters but i cant find it anymore.

No vibration to the sender.

I could be wrong but I feel it might be more accurate with the less vibration.

The sender that came with the prosport gauge was huge.

I really didn't want to tap the oil hole to NPT. I just wanted an easy

bolt on setup. It is not the cheapest price wise. I just wanted something different.

I wanted to piece it together and get my own parts.

I mounted the sender where the ABS unit used to be.

The DSM crowd uses the same type of setup.

I can see your point about the mechanical BC, but personally I don't really feel comfortable with having a line run into my cabin that could be damaged or leak. There is always a possibility of the electric sending unit being inaccurate but before that becomes a huge issue I would hope other signs would warn my other than an exploding motor lol.

Why not just run a mechanical gauge? Not trying to be a smart butt.... I just trust them to work better and not have any sender failures.

@IntercooledFlatty

NOPE.

i have it mounted to the fire wall and a 14 gauge wire going to the gauge in the car.

but if i wanted i could just buy a longer Teflon lined SS braided line long enough to reach the center console where i got the gauge and use a mechanical gauge. would take no time to swap out the hose and route it being it is all AN type fittings right from the block.

worked 13 hours straight yesterday. pics will come tonight for sure.

I just had the prosport sitting here for a long time like over a year

and decided to put it to use.

Ahhh, makes sense now. Yeah a longer braided line is how I plumb my mechanical gauge. I never trust plastic or copper for this.

I just thread mine into the filter hpusing like stock.

Never had any problems regarding the sender. The wiring in the other hand. Prosport had a tendancy of using next to no strands of wire that would fail from exposure. No problems no that I run Autometer. Still electronic sender.

I just don't understand the location. I think having the sender on the block or filter housing creates less potential leaks. But if you want/need to re-locate that's up to you. What I don't understand is why you ran a hose from the front of the hottest place under the hood to the rear of the hottest place under the hood. Why not have the sender near the air filter and run a little extra wire? Keeping hoses and electronics away from exhaust heat makes them live longer. Not to mention oil + hot exhaust = fire.

Good points. UCW for sure.

No explanation. I just wanted to do it to get it out Of my system.

The good thing the AN fitting on the block can make changes down the road

Easy when ever I decide to. I could always route the sender where ever I want if I feel the location is a problem.
