randy
There was a topic about the variances between the body paint and theengine bay color being different. It also mentioned useing brake fluid toclean the grime with a brush can anyone point me to the post.I searched different sections but can't remember the actual topic, but theyalso mentioned purple power for cleaning the bay area. ucw458
Engine bay has no clear coat so the paint looks different. Brake fluid eats paint. Use purple power or simple green and a toothbrush. Toothbrush seems small but it gets the most grime off. With white paint you finish by spraying brake cleaner on a rag and doing a light buff. mr-starion
Use a bit of rubbing compound once its all clean to get it shining, dont use too much or else youll burn right through the paint
Guest
I use degreaser from .99 cent store, Awesome. Just don't spray too much of that stuff on rubber and plastic or leave it on for too long because it makes those things hazy.
markhansenconquest
that's what I use Awesome the powered stuff is OK but the yellow stuff is stronger and cheap..... after cleaning use armor all to make the rubber stuff look good and protect............. psu_Crash
Purple Power, a sponge or light scrubber then pressure washer. Works like a charm.Easier to get everything with the engine out though
