Hey guys

I think i may have unwittingly become another victim of someone on here who appears to have ripped alot of people off.

He has said he has shipped said item, but a month later i'm still waiting.

He shipped it via USPS priority mail international, and told me there is no tracking on this service, so he has no ID number/reference number.

Ive done a bit of reading on their website, and from what i can see there should be tracking with this service.

Can anyone else confirm this? Ive tried contacting USPS but have had no response.

If he's telling me BS i want to lodge a claim with paypal before the 45 days passes.

Any help appreciated

Do the claim now , I have shipped to aus, new zealand and signapore and korea and hong kong with usps. If he used the usps global priority mail online it will have a tracking or reference number. If he bought the postage at the post office it will at least have a reference number. From usa you have to do the customs form and customs envelope, so he should have his copy number 1 out of four that go in the envelope. Have him grab a picture of it and send to you Edited by JohnnyWadd

PM me his username if you're not comfortable posting it at this point in time. Scammers need to be dealt with swiftly.

USPS Priority international includes tracking/delivery confirmation. Start the PayPal claim asap.

Having done this just this week, here's what I can tell you...

It's true, there is no official "tracking" service available on this. However, there is a customs number attached to it (it's the number on the customs form he filled out, located just below the bar code). This number can be tracked because it gets pinged every time the package reaches/leaves one of the jump points in its trip.

I've shipped to Australia from the US before, and the package arrived in 13 total days, so at this point I would consider going ahead and making your claim with paypal. You can always drop the claim later if it gets resolved.

Thanks guys. Ive just heard back again from Usps and they said the same that it can be tracked from the customs number.

Ive asked the seller for this so if i dont have it by tonite the claim is going in.

Thankfully the dealings ive had with 99% of people on this site have been great just a few bad apples who spoil the bunch i guess

I hate to say this but I have had issues with overseas shipments taking longer than the customer is used to. Even the tracking numbers show I have shipped it I have had some take 4 weeks to get to a customer.. they get pissed off like yourself and threaten claims on me, Thus I have quit shipping out of US... rare times I have shipped. Getting tired of the hassles.. even to canada.

I can respect that.

If the guy had actually sent me a copy of the customs form with the ID number on it so i could give that to USPS to look into, thatd be fine, and i wouldnt need to go to paypal.

Its the fact that i have no verification that it has even been sent, and also that i have discovered that this person has screwed ALOT of people on this board already, that makes me suspicious.

If he sends me the customs ID number, or a copy of the form - all well and good.

But i don't think i'm being unreasonable in that it was paid for on the 7th May, and i have no ID number, parcel or otherwise.

Ok thanks for the advice guys, but unfortunately realised that i cant dispute the paypal transaction.

Hadn't realised at the time but this is a quote from the message that dodge2004srt4 sent me:

Thats fine if you want to do priority but you wont get any tracking info so I have to have you send it as payment owed. Most people on here are trustworthy and Im not saying I dont trust you at all, but to protect myself I cant have it sent as good purchased b/c the one rule from Paypal is that some sort of confirmation service or tracking must be used and USPS gives it free now but only for domestic shipments.

So looks like ive got no comeback on this unfortunately, unless any of you other guys who have been scammed by the same person are going to see this person about their stuff?

Talk about sour taste in my mouth, this is definitely going to make me choose who i deal with alot more carefully.

ONCE AGAIN WHEN DEALING WITH ANY SIZEABLE AMOUNT OF MONEY NO PHN # NO MONEY < pay pal HAS NO PHN # listing NO DEAL

that may piss off spme sellers but I don't care if your on the up and up giving your phn number to a person your expecting to give you money should be no problem

TRUST works BOTH ways

if you can't or don't trust the person your doing business with , the answer is simple don't do bussiness
