white quest ky
Has anyone ever raced one in a stock or modded quest my car has a pretty serious build and there's some 17 year old kid mommy and daddy bought an SRT8 jeep for that's runnin his mout big time I need opinions lol
TexasQuest
They're heavy. You should be able to take one in a nicely built quest.
Dred_85.5_TSI
From what I've read they do ~13.5 1/4 mile stock. If its stock you might have a chance. They are AWD so if he knows how to launch it he might get away from you.
white quest ky
The last my dad had it on the strip it ran a 13.
MikeMeyerhoff
Should be a good race with a decent sq. Amazing thing is, even if you get him in a straight line he still might out handle you !
Live2Quest
At least your friends support you more than http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=135434 lmao
Technology
One man's serious build is another man's stock, mild, DD setup. By serious do you mean a good mid-frame turbo and MPI, 400+whp and upgraded running gear? Or a stock, bolt-on turbo, TBI, and cut springs? If you turn up the boost to a million, you will beat that jeep in a race.
Live2Quest
I think you'll win the power to price ratio
gottraction
If he has mods you are toast. run him from a roll is your best shot. My cousin has one with a nice build and i swear the damn thing runs high 10s. factory i think they are mid 13s.
Blue
Got the same problem here. Him and a particular Mustang owner will be my final kills before I give up street racing and go to legit racing where I actually have competition and not a bunch of 30+ year old children with sohc civics and a bad attitude. Take him to the 1/4 mile. Don't be intimidated by his awd. Those Jeeps are quick to the 1/8, then they just fall off. If you're a better driver, it should be an easy kill. white quest ky
Like I said blue he's 17 he drives it as if it were a Honda and he's wrecked it twice
Blue
Like I said blue he's 17 he drives it as if it were a Honda and he's wrecked it twiceWhat was the 60' time on your car? 1/4 trap speed? You can more than likely make his ego hurt on the track. Plus, then you have hard evidence you won. Honestly though, if he's 17, I wouldn't waste my gas or even waste the emotional investment. If he has a bad driving reputation already, racing him on the street is an even worse idea. I bet he has a few speeding tickets as well, so local PD will have their eyes on him. Ask me how I know. white quest ky
Haha I'd have to ask my dad blue it used to be his car and i bought it from him he has all the old time slips from when he used to race it regularly
jszucs
I'm guessing he's going to beat you... sorry. Newer tec, allot more driver asists. With some high end sticy tires on it, and provided he don't break anything on a hard launch (I hear the drive line is pretty stout though) I'm guessing you will be playing catch up from the start and I doubt your blowing though the 120 mark on the strip or you woudn't be worrying if you can beat him. My guess is your beat bet would be top ending him I assume there electronic limited around 120, and are running out of gearing around 100.
IntercooledFlatty
there's one in a local MOPAR club that runs very consistent 11.00 flat times, he has a 100 shot and a few bolt onZ
jszucs
I know it's not exactly real world but if you got a 360 and Forza you can match them up to see what happens.
taeisallin
dont race him until you and the car become one. its not what the car did with previous owner (dad). you gotta be in sync with the car and know its real limits.

It's more then that too. Your abilities and knowing of the car are also going to have to overcome the tec diffrence, the driver aids, the AWD, ECT Let alone starting out in the hole. TexasQuest
If your racing him from a dig you might be in trouble. Now a highway run is where these cars shine naturally.
Dred_85.5_TSI
I seem to have read somewhere that they are not limited, except by RPM which means they top out ~170mph. Not sure if thats true....
