StarquestRescue
Yea, at one point he put ford rods in a engine. But they were narrower at one end or the other. Said it would not matter. He did not like the pistons in the hole (below the deck). So the block could be decked a ton. He could have fooled around with 3 or 4 different engines though. mtaylor530
great! i mainly got it for the pistons and rods. my motor is knocking so im gonna go through this one and put it in mine. that head is kinda freaky though
StarquestRescue
I would not try and run that head on pump gas. Only race gas or e85. I would be temped to try it on my set up. mtaylor530
Allright. got the engine on the stand finally! gonna try to tear it down and inspect it over the next few days.....any suggestions on a headgasket to run with the 20g and the stock nonjet head?? Ill probably be selling the high compression head and cam.
Funky Phil
Well if you have access, that head can be made into a usable piece with some time and a grinder. With all the welding/filling in those chambers, Im curious how much he cut off the bottom. May want to measure the thickness and check. mtaylor530
by the way I need torque specs for ARP rod bolts and ARP main Studs. The new ARP website asks for part numbers...of which I do not have. to get the instructions

Funky Phil
wait, that motor has diff rods in it doesnt it? You have to go by thier specs then. Youll have to find the serial number.
