7psi. gettin there.

btw, the jettin is a standard primary jet, but no secondary jet. that puts me at a mid-11 afr under boost, and it drives like normal off boost.

The new pump doesn't have the GPH required for the thirsty little motor. I installed a quest pump and a fpr, and it will haul butt under boost with that, but won't idle. I think I need an FMU.. I hate saying that...

incase you don't know, a FMU is a rising rate fpr of sorts, it starts at 1:1 at low boost pressure, and goes up to 12:1 under higher boost pressure. It's normally a band-aid©®™ on a naturally aspirated to boosted application, that I do not enjoy dealing with from a tuning standpoint. I have not seen a predictable or reliable one yet.

So it has the diesel pump in it now and I can stay in boost for a few seconds before it literally runs out of fuel, I mean 11.5:1 afr to 22:1. Like the motor turned off, then it gets the fuel again, and I can do it again. It's not bad to show off for a second, but it won't "go fast", like I can't do a full pull, so it's fun to drive, but limited... I kind of like it, it keeps me out of trouble.

Cool, but I agree on the 340 though. I've seen many Arrows go 8's or 9's with a good high reving SB in there. You tube is loaded with 'em. And an occasional Colt.

Well it had a 2.0 then the fire arrow had a 2.6. Let's split the difference and go 2.3L.

It'll outperform that any day, without the ridiculous cubes of a v8.

Insane in the wood grain. gone insane, got wood grain.

it's just cabinet laminate.

And, TexasQuest, I do not plan to make a monster. I tried that, and I didn't enjoy it. This will be quite a bit less hp. I'm thinking less than 300 on under 15psi.

it's starting to look like an engine.

i should mention that I bought the cheapest ebay t3 footprint manifold I could find that didn't have a wastegate provision, so i could chop it and flip it. So far so good.

The intake manifold is an evo 8, it needs decently modified to work, but it will.

I blacked out the lower grill piece, headlight housing, and general grill area. There will be a big shiny intercooler to fill it.

I also re-installed the original emblems. I added a plymouth logo up front, and a turbo electronic fuel injection emblem on the back. I think it's from an 80s dodge. I need to figure out where to put the mitsu emblem. I'm thinking center of the IC.

//edit: I forgot to mention that I can remove my CAS without too much hassle. ;)

Gauges are hooked up.

The gauges I added are RPM, vac/boost, and wbo2.

There is a small 15w applifier under the heat vents as well. Now I can listen to some tunes when I get tired of hearing that smooth 2.3L purring.

I should mention, I bought these:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/69-79-Beetle-7-H6024-Round-Crystal-Chrome-Projector-Headlights-w-H4-Bulbs-/281018265471?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item416dfe6f7f&vxp=mtr

and they do not look good.

The light is a lot worse than an OE style bulb. I'm going to toss some hid bulbs in and see if that improves anything. I sure hope so.

Got the Hid bulbs/balasts today.

They helped a ton.

I never took any pics with the bulbs that came in the housings, but I know these look a lot better just in the garage.

I used the housing mentioned above and this hid kit http://www.ebay.com/itm/110957394783

Low cost and makes for a pretty clean install. I am going to make brackets for mine instead of using the double sided tape that comes in the kit.

My goals are fairly low on this build.

~300hp. But to drive it everyday.

I plan to use a stock dsm ecu with an ostrich. No ms on this one.

I'm going to try the stock ecu, because in the past, it seems that any vehicle that runs ms, isn't as "dependable" as I would like. I know it can be dependable, but I know the stock unit IS.

Honestly, I think it is going to take more work to get the dsm ecu into the car than a megasquirt would have taken, but I think it's benefits will be greater, for what I want out of it.

http://www.ilostmymind.com/upload/relocatedaeromotivebits.jpg

i moved a couple of the aeromotive parts from the quest into the arrow.

I need to decide wheather to put the fuel pump in the engine bay, or back at the tank.

If it goes back at the tank, I need to change most the line, and run electrical to it.

In the engine bay, it's shorter wiring, and no real changes in the plumbing, but heat could be a downside...

More updates to come.
