one wire. I love it. I need to hook up the idiot light though. looks easy, I just need a small jumper wire that I might build tonight.

You can't see the adapter bracket, but it moves the alternator about 3/4" towards the belt. this alternator is from a 1980 Chevrolet Monte Carlo with the 3.8 Turbo motor, I opted for the NON-AC version of 63amps, but the AC version is 70 Amps, but the non-ac is $39 at advance auto parts, and the non-ac wasn't available.

Also, the fuel pump is way louder at 14v than it is at 12v, it's annoying now. I think I'm going to use a ballast resistor to quite it down (I know it will reduce the volume as well, but I'm good with that)

can we do a GM one wire for our quests?

Yeah, its the same block family. The Astron. Mine is a G52B.

It is just offset about 3/4" towards the belt. I'll take pics of my janky adapter. I think someone on here was selling them at one time. But there is more to it if you want the idiot light to work, that I have not gotten to yet. Pretty easy though.

New technology, I'll bite.

They gap out to .035 it seems.

And, for IW:

Now, I'm all aligned, but not before this happened.

The odometer was reading 61,150 at the time of installing these plugs, just to document their life.

So far, ~20 miles in, no difference, not positive or negative from what I can tell. The exhaust smells the same, afrs are reading the same, seems to pull the same. Only about 4.3x more expensive than my regular bpr7es plugs.

those fronts? those are some worn out treads.

are those been on since the previous owner?

what size did you end up getting.

as far as plugs you think there was a more

boost PSI they would be more of a benefit.

on a side note,

I still want to get the one wire ALT.

When I put the xxr wheels on, I bought used tires. Since I wasn't 100% sure I was keeping the wheels.

Those are fronts, 195/60-15 stretched onto 8" wheels. I haven't got new tires yet, but I would like to go a little lower profile.

Right now she is rocking the stock 13" steelies up front.

I tried to do some searching, but it looks like the database is broke. For some reason I think it was starwolf or something like that that was offering the gm alt conversion.

I'll keep looking.

Hey thanks IW.

I changed from a walbro 255 to a E8000. Wow is it so much quieter. That wally was annoying.

I also fixed the exhaust. It was touching the body making this weird droning noise. Now it just sounds like exhaust.

Put about 80 Miles on her the first day this year and attended two car shows.

Hah, normally I would.

However.... this was from 80 miles of 55mph highway cruising @ about 15:1 afr. I had 4 gallons of old 93 octane and 6 gallons of fresh 93 octane.

We will see what the next tank averages, but it will be mainly city miles this time.

I think phase 3 is MPI.

//edit:

I found out my "pulse dampner" was leaking from the screw in the end. Just under boost. It was spraying a bit.

Now that the leaks are fixed, shes getting about 15-17 mpg. That's acceptable.

I bought into the bluetooth serial EFI analytics deal. It's pretty sweet. I like it. I need to get/make a new mount for my phone though. I currently use an X-grip from ram mounts, but its just with the suction base, no arm. http://www.rammount.com/Products/XGriptradeMounts/tabid/4687/Default.aspx
