No, I'm def keeping the IRS.  So yesterday I got my GT rack.  I think I can make it work but its not going to be easy. I'm going to have to get really creative with the motor mounts casue of where the steering shaft ends up.  It does seems like its going to work out (lenght wise) with  a little bit of welding...anything is possible....   I also ordered 99 ford gt spindels and brakes.  I still might be able to use the stock control arms, I just wish they had some adjustment like ^ (rustrocket) did to his.  I'll have to see how it all lines up once I get them.  I'll try to get some pics up tonight.

Looks good. I think I figured out how to use the rack and stock spindle mount. Had a machine shop redrill the hole from the top for the stock mustang tie rod ends and now it does not hit the caster or sway bar. Going to post some pictures on my thread  today or tomorrow.

ok, heres what I did today... All I need now is some coilovers with the correct specs.  Believe it or not, it all works, (other than the balljoints being different) but everything clears, and thats with the ST swaybar.  Obviously nothing is tight, its just mocked up...but its going to work.... fox body rack, 04 5lug spindles, and I will be using 13" svt brakes.(these are only 11"s)
Oh yeah and those are rear 9's.... upfront...hehe

herra flush and there is a 15mm spacer on the disks... not sure if I'm going to need it or not

I'm not worried about it right nowlike I said there is a spacer on the hub right now, the fenders are going wider, and once I figure out how the ball joint will mount with adjustment for camber, I should be able to get tons of steering angle.  The spindles are going to be cut and rewelded to take lenght out of the steering joint, allowing more angle... easy..lol

looking good John. I've always been curious if the SN95 Mustang spindles would work.

yeah I'm kinda going back through that whole thing.  I'm still not sure if I'm going to use them, or have new steering/ball joints mounts CNC'd to work with the stock spindles.  I think its going to be cheaper that way.  Right now I'm trying to do everything I can that really doesn't cost much.

what color are you painting the cage? are you going to keep the red?

if you are keeping the red.. i think painting the cage white would look good..

then throw in some seats like mine.. maybe black though.. and would really set it off along with your custom dash

Yeah I still am not sure.  I'm not going to use red incase I change the color of the car... Which I might do in the future.  I'm thinking a gunmetal/flake color for the inside. Whatever it is, its going to be all the same.  Masking off the cage would suck a lot..lol   Its hard enough painting it, trying to get in every little area.  I will def be getting seats, buts thats down the road sometime.
