trim painting
By TexasQuest,
Well after my recent paintjob I thought it was time to freshen up the trim on the car. It had faded to a grayish color after 20+ years in the sun so I hit it with some Duplicolor Trim paint. I think it came out very nice. http://i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt230/gguy84/DSCN0988.jpg Passenger side before re-paint (driver side looked just about as bad) http://i614.photobucket.com/albums/tt230/gguy84/DSCN0989.jpg Now onto the door window trims, door handles and windshield trim. Belt Tension Setting
By TrustConquest,
Does anyone know the technical/mechanical OE tension setting for our v-belts/serpentine belts/drive belts? (Not the thumb method please) The FSM does list something of 100N (22lbs), but that number seems very loose to me. (Not to mention affordable gauge tools don't go below 30lbs) Also, how do you tighten the Water Pump+Alternator Belt, and the Hydraulic Power Steering Belt? (The 2 smaller belts)
Found a strange wire in the AC harness...
By Aman,
So I was relocating my AC to under the stereo, and along with the two main AC connectors on the harness, there was a strange red/blue wire, with a strange connector. It's the one in between the two black plugs. http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr285/manlavi90/IMAG0188.jpg
