Engage clutch engine dies

Ok guys, car has been sitting for over a year because of a small wreck but any way got the body put back together and was going to drive it down the road. It was idling almost perfect with just a hint of a misfire every once in a while ( needs plug wires) I put it in reverse and it backs up fine without any problems put I in first give it a little gas and as soon as the clutch engages the car bogs down and dies and when I start it back up the starter hangs for a few extra seconds. put it in fi
Cleaning relays and grouding points

I wanna know what have you used to clean the grounds around the battery and the relays behind the battery in that relay tree? You really can't fit anything in the slots to clean the corrosion off trying to clean up things. I just removed the relay tree tree from behind the battery and it is filty.

Timing issues after distro rebuild. Looking for ideas!

Hey guys, I seem to be having an issue I can't work out after trying to retime the flatty. I just finished rebuilding the distributor, putting in new a new pickup, vac advance, relubing it all, and cleaning the whole thing. I referenced several How-To's and feel that I did it correctly. Everything went back together correctly and there wasn't a time that I felt uncertain about what I was doing. Just for reference I did correctly place the engine at TDC on the number 1 cylinder on its compressio
