    Correct louver shade of black?

    tankbob
    By tankbob,
Ive got a set of full metal louvers coming in the mail and they need some paint. I was thinking powder coating since my guy is right down the street and he does good work but Im not sure what shade of black I want for the OEM look. At first I thought of gloss black but after looking at this image I know Im wrong, maybe semi-gloss black? http://i.imgur.com/xUJn4.jpg   Also heres an interesting picture I found on tumblr, looks old. http://i.imgur.com/pqaCw.jpg

Who here still has a 100% OEM SQ? I miss ripping through gears and hearing the 12A beg for mercy lol.

    Has anyone used this alternator?

    By TexasQuest,
Found this upgraded reman unit on ebay. Has anyone tried this with success? I'm tired of running through alternators every so often with the crapper 75 amp one from the auto parts store and exchanging them under warranty.   http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mitsubishi-Starion-Conquest-100-Amp-Alternator-1987-1988-1989-/120924138174?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c27a3eabe&vxp=mtr

    Metal in my oil filter

    19cturbo
    By 19cturbo,
well, i changed the oil and saw a few metal flakes, so i panicked. cut the old filter open, and there were bits of meal in there as well.. I decided it was better to pull the engine and give it a good look, yanked everything apart. To my surprise everything looks pretty dang good. a few of the bearing have some wear. here are some pictures, what do you all think? where else should i check for metal? pull the oil pump apart?   http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd23/19cturbo/57BFC219-876C-4B69-A6
