  1. Chad, Man O Man what I wouldn't give to slip one of these sweet T56's under my ride! But I've been gathering up information on the T56 conversion for my old 70 Goat as well, Too tired of 3000 at 60 MPH in 4th business. But when this kit comes together I'm sure I'll be into one sooner than later now that the S16G is in and I'm hammerin' this unit already. Only have 3 more of these to go through at the moment and they break so easily. I'm babyin' the gear changes trying to get as much life as I can from these but it would be nice to just rip through the gears and not have to worry. Much like my old muncie is now. Takes the speed shift pounding regularly and comes back for more. So I'll be keeping my eye on this one for sure. Turbo
  2. Aw revlovin you're getting rid of your ride. Bummer dude. I'd like to have a look at that header and stainless heat shield if they're still available. I don't remember you having a header when you came over to my place with eeaston? I finally threw that Super 16 G into my ride. And yowza what a difference 25 PSI of much colder pressure makes on these things. The G-Tech says I'm trappin' 109.9 now @ 13.3 seconds in the 1/4. Any way if you have some pics I'd like to see them. And since we're not that far apart I could swing by or something. Later, Dave aka Turbo
  3. I'll take the 850 cc Injector and can Paypal you the funds. Just Pm me the details. Turbo
  4. Has anyone considered the gear ratio's of all these tranny's you're considering? Â I'd suggest bearing in mind the ratio's available when making trans choices. Â The T56 while a great trans has a 2.66 1st gear ratio. Our KM132 has a 3.36 1st gear ratio for an overall gear multiplication factor of 11.8944. So even if you swapped out your ring & pinion for a 4.22 gear set the T56 would not launch as well with an overall 11.2252 gear multiplication factor in 1st. Â The T5 has a 3.35 1st gear which will be nearly identical to the KM132. Â Plus the T5 is 37% overdriven in 5th compared to our KM132's 15% overdriven 5th. Â Matter of fact those 4.22's are looking awefully good if I go through with this conversion. Â The side benefit of running 4.22's is you shift more of the stress off of the transmission and back to the axleshafts through better gear multiplication at the ring & pinion. Â But we may need to out source much stronger axle shafts with such a conversion. Â But as for me. I drove my Dad's Heavily tweaked 87 Regal T-Type with a stageII Kenne Belle kit in it. Â Man it was awesome. Ran low 11's at Englishtown. Â And there is just no comparison to a Turbo engine backed by an automatic at the dragstrip. Â There was no Turbo lag at all. Just nail it against the trans brake and hang on on slicks or feather the throttle to the limit of adhesion which was a joke because I couldn't open it all the way until around 90Mph on street tires. Â And Dad was runnin Yoko's A008's on it. Pretty sticky but no match for 700 lb/ft. Â Granted the air in connecticut is pretty ideal since it's near sea level. Anyway I'd like to go for both a 700-R4 or 4L60 Automatic and the T5 myself. Â I still like the ease of drifting against the stick trans. Â Auto's cause the car to feel a little numb and loose to me when autocrossing. My sense err cents as it were !! Regards, Turbo
