Three shp and one non shp struts

My 88 that I just purchased has three shp struts and one (non) shp strut "that is blown by the way". what can/should I do about it? After I get her running in tip top shape I planned on lowering her a few inches with Mk1 coils.
My Transmission Dilemma

So as some of you have read I've had some issues with transmissions this summer. The car hasn't really been driven accept at autocross events, but when it is driven normally on the road it's fine. So the transmission that I swapped in a month or so ago doesn't like to go into second gear. Somewhat randomly... It's fine for the first few hard launches at an event, then after that second gear isn't an option after even a mediocre launch. It doesn't grind it just doesn't go, even though the shifter
No starter, no spark, no fuel.

my 89 quest starter does nothing with the key but does turn with a remote starter switch. The coil is not sparking the the injectors have no fuel but pump primes when turning the key. Any ideas as to what could be the issue? Been working on this car for three years. (Mainly due to family life) I have a FRM and I'm trying to narrow down the issue(s) Any input would be appreciated.
