Shelby asked me a question just now about the 87-later idle procedure... when he tried it on his converted pickup, well, he didn't get the correct voltages on the wires I quoted.  I compared the factory manual wire colors to my car and whatdaya know, another mistake in the factory manuals.  They actually have the "sensor power" wire connected to the "sensor ground" wire at the MPS.  Oops.  I think we need some place where we can highlight these errors (the same error is in the online copies as w

Just installed a MSD Blaster coil on my 89 TSI, boy did she wake up! I had done the basic free mods like air box mod, increasing the boost, and gutted pre cat but was a little disappointed, until now. That extra spark energy sure woke her up, no more hesitation under boost just get up and go! I would recommend this upgrade to everyone.

Has anyone taken the fog light assembly out to remove / clean the glass?  I'm looking to do a conversion of the fog lights, but can't seem to remove the glass.  ???  (Yes, I've soaked the rubber in VERY hot water ... just don't want to break the glass.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.   I've seen only two conversions like this.   Thanks all, Geoff
