Well, I got everything hooked up this weekend.  Here's my experience so far:   First, the MS wouldn't talk to the laptop.  I did a little testing and found that the crystal was bad.  I replaced it with one from  a busted watch that I had laying around(same frequency) and that solved the problem.  Communicates with the laptoop and everything seems to work.  Suck on the MAP hose and the little gauge moves back and forth... Battery relocation. Why do it?
