OK, here's the deal...   I bought two Conquests, one an '86 and the other an '87. The '86 was the guy's parts car, and the '87 his driver in which he rebuilt the engine only to screw up the oiling system and burn up the bottom end... it looks like it was an oil-return problem, as the head and valvetrain looks good.
