Water pump question
By BC_99,
So, I have my engine torn down in the process of a freshen up. While I am at it, I have been powder coating all of the brackets, covers, ect. I am ready to install my water pump now that the gasket finally arrived and was thinking of powder coating the outside of it first. My question is this.... There has to be a seal of some sort on the impeller shaft that goes from the pulley on the outside to the impeller on the inside right? If so, what kind of seal is it, and will it burn up at 400 degre

exhaust manifolds
By Turbo Cary,
What do y'all think would be the option for an exhaust manifold (minus the awesome JDL manifolds) that would flow the best for a td05 turbo? I have a spare stocker that I have cut the webbing out of and started to port and polish. I had debated welding a port on it for an external gate as well. what is the largest diameter that the hole for the turbo can be opened? Is the treadstone with a t4/td05 flange reversed any good? Or should I just save up for the JDL manifolds
