  1. That link just brings me to the LA listings. Not a specific listing
  2. We definitely haven't found a plug n play replacement over the years. MKS is it for a new OEM style as far as I know. Maybe you can find a part breakdown just for the sensor portion, but it likely is NLA.
  3. I went through quite the discussion with firestone many years ago. They insisted that my steering linkage had been modified from stock. It was all new components, but all stock. Couldn't for the life of them figure out how it only adjusts on one side and still get the wheel straight. It's on splines ... if the pitman arm movement is near center just pull the wheel off and POOF done! Anyways, no reason to move the wheel now. Let them get it sorted then set the wheel.
  4. If you were closer I could probably find my old air dam. No interest in shipping though I didn't know they were that expensive now. I remember buying them for under 300 many years back. Glad I have 2 of the NikoFab spare here.
  5. Gunk engine degreaser on it all. Let it sit and powerwash away! Just avoid obvious sensitive areas. Never had a issue.
  6. I don't think I'd bother with the re-purposed crush section. It's an 80s car. Reminiscent of a time when we just died like men. Joking aside, if we hit something that hard head on it probably won't matter anyways. 1/4" plate makes for decent target practice
  7. Great stuff Mike! What bolt was too long? Hard to tell from the picture. Add this to the list of reasons I need a lathe. Safety 1st! πŸ˜„ "I will not be using this in any part of the remaining mod. to avoid the steering column impaling me in a front end collision, I’ve decided to just wear a 1/4” thick plate the size of a 14” pizza pan around my neck."
  8. That really looks great! I see what you mean from the bottom. You could definitely jack from the ends of the bent tubular portion. I do currently jack up the front all at once using the middle of that crossmember. Even with your design, I bet a piece of 2x4 under the center would distribute weight enough. I am what seems like forever away from a rack swap on either of my projects, but I will definitely keep this post saved!
  9. I hope this is your personal design and you have no affiliation with NDD motorsports. Actually, I don't care if you are affiliated if you can actually deliver. NDD Fiasco That said I love the design! I also agree with a jack point. 1/4 - 3/8 plate, 4x4" or so under both ends would be ideal.
  10. I have been on vacation the last week, so I forgot about all of this. Puerto Rico sounds right. I'll try to remember to look tonight
  11. I used that picture for a presentation back in college 25 years ago! It has to be on the web somewhere. Or a flashdrive somewhere in my desk. Maybe
  12. Welcome aboard DylanClark! Let's see some pics and more details. Don't worry that it isn't a show car. I promise we have seen worse πŸ˜‰
  13. He sure is and MKS has upped his game a lot too. Welcome back!
  14. Pretty much the same thing you plan to do with the Mustang parts. At least I assume that's your plan. Curious about the strut tube housings. If they are close to the mustang stuff then you may just be smarter than us! 😁
  15. Very interesting stuff! I have seen a lot of guys go a lot of routes. Not that one though. Sounds like a lot of work, but when you have already done it, much quicker this time around I'm sure. If I ever get around to a rack swap I'll be looking into this route. Seems significantly less expensive than most. I'm also not afraid to cut and weld. That's half the fun on some projects!
  16. Having that rod end in there is brilliant. I've seen conversions that definitely could have benefit from that. 3 u joints and all those set screws sounds scary, but it looks like you are good to go! "Fox mustang junk" πŸ˜„ So if you decide to use the Prius electric assist, how does that work? Do you have to cut the column and put it in line, I assume?
  17. I have looked at digital dashes a ton and always decided it was too expensive. This DIY approach though has me reconsidering. I'll be watching for updates. Not to mention I have several spare clusters, so if I mess one up, no big deal.
  18. I have been watching this too. Beautiful flatty! Hope it gets top dollar
  19. Looks great from here! Definitely excited to see how it will work out for you.
  20. 🀣 I'm not familiar with the CSNY version. I will be today though! Not real like the fact that the plane disintegrated at nearly 8000 MPH and Maverick survived. Vaguely familiar with the SR-71 replacement project. Black and gray would definitely look military, and aggressive.
