That was one of the best races I've ever seen. Anyone else think Timo Glock was sandbagging it? I know he was on slicks but to get passed in the last corner of the last lap? You couldn't have scripted it any better. Anyway it was a awesome race and a great season,congrats to Lewis.He's one hell of a driver.

Just look at the drivers with the biggest paychecks and you'll have your answer.Fernando Alonzo the highest paid driver from what I can gather made 28 million for 2008. That's just salary not endorsement money.All drivers would be getting that money if they could. F1 dominates every other form of motor sport in the world hands down.Mclaren Mercedes was fined 100 million dollars last year if that gives you any idea of the level they are playing on. The final race this past weekend was one of the best races I've ever seen. No where else does so little mean so much.

I see where your going with this Ken and I agree with you that overall less government is better for everyone involved.People who earn the money should be allowed to keep it.They should pay the same % of tax as everybody else.The wealthy are usually the more intelligent members of the population and in a perfect world they should want to give back but they should not be forced to do so. My take on politics is that it's mostly a dog and pony show put on to give the masses a belief that they actually have a say in what happens. I think most people are dupes.They get lost in the details.They grab onto to a few catch phrases along with an idea or two from others that they don't or can't fully grasp then regurgitate it over and over like it's gospel all the while missing the big picture. The Gov't is slowly whittling away all of our rights,taking more and more of our money and putting future generations into indentured servitude. It doesn't matter how you slice it and you don't have to be 60 years old to see it. I don't mean to get off topic and bring religion into the mix Chip but it directly influences politics like nothing else.To me "widespread intelligence" is a hurdle we won't overcome unless we deal with religion in all it's forms. I worked for UPS for a couple years back when I was in school.The job is a real tuff PITA type of job.You have boxes sorted by the laser eye upstairs and then sent flying down the chute at mach 1 to your truck. You have to pick up the box look at the # and make sure the laser eye sorted it correctly.Smudged/damaged bar codes are the main problem.They get sent to the wrong truck and the loaders don't check every package as they should. I had a cheat sheet strapped to my forearm like a quarterback because the number list varied so much. Yeah not rocket science I know but there will always be a couple packages that get packed on the wrong truck. At the time most of my co-workers were career loaders who didn't finish the 8th grade and didn't speak english very well if at all. That might explain where why your pistons went to LA.

To me all this talk of people voting and making decisions in this country is laughable.It's always a 2 party race bought and paid for by big business - that in itself should tell you something. IMO Presidents are nothing more than figure heads.They were bought and paid for long before the were allowed to hold any high office.Once they get in office they do what they are told or they get assassinated. Think what you want but every square inch of land in this country is owned by the Government just like it was owned by the king back in jolly old England. If you don't pay your taxes they take your property or put you in jail. You have to pay to get a permit to change or build anything on "your" property. Permit is exactly what it says - The gov't will permit you to do so and so if you agree to the terms and pay a fee. How can you truly be free or actually own anything when you have to pay or ask someone else to keep or use it? The fact of the matter is we are all basically slaves. For all you guys/gals who are going to say "if you don't like it go somewhere else" Yes we have it better than anyone else in this world but that doesn't change the facts. I call it voluntary servitude by deception. Your social security number is essentially your slave ID #.They track everything about you with it. Where you live & work, how much you make, who your family is etc. This whole voting thing is a dog and pony show to keep all of us believing that we actually have a say. I'm sorry to say that I don't have a better solution but I'm not blind to what's going on either. The best slave is one that doesn't know he is one.
