Minagera
Well, going to a Family Reunion today with the Wife, son, and pup in the jeep today, but it all turned bad as we topped a hill. A State Farm van decided to do an emergency brake check right in front of me. Needless to say the jeep didn't stop as fast. I hit the van in the right rear and both airbags deployed. Wife broke her left wrist, I have some lacerations to my left arm, and the jeep is totaled, BUT the Graco car seat worked EXACTLY how it was supposed to, and Colin is 100% ok. The pup is also ok. Everything is crappy right now, and I will get some pictures shortly. Bleh.

MainstreaM
Throw that car seat away and get a new one. Never supposed to reuse one in a wreck or one that's more than two years old. Just want to make sure you guys stay safe in case it ever happens again. Kane

Then the State-Farm van jammed on the brakes, and I did the same.
pure_insanity
dude, the jeep survived pretty friggen well compared to the van. and the jeep is way fixable. if it totals it, it will be due to the cost of repairs compared to the value of it. even with blown airbags there is no way that is totalled for damage. worst part about it is those jeeps are a pita to work on, they are built a little too good and it complicates things. otherwise, glad to hear you survived with no more damage than just a broken wrist, it sucks but such is life. Minagera
The wife doesn't want me to fix it because it wouldn't be "safe" anymore... I suppose I could try and find a 97-01 Cherokee or 97-06 Wrangler that needs an engine.
Edde
Glad it didn't turn out more serious. I would think replacing the airbags alone would render it a lost cause?

So now it is the Build it Bigger idea.... Grant you need to come paint it one color :-P Edited October 9, 2009 by Minagera
pure_insanity
uggghhhh, paint ? hmmmmmm, maybe if you let me do it with some wild colors or something. im not feeling it to simply match the color back. i will be needing some wine coolers, maybe a touch of smoke and lots of b.s.ing before hand to set my mood right. but i think we can do something. pure_insanity
Grant, he said one color, he didn't say WHAT color that was. And Wine Coolers? Just wonderin....... I get the foreplay of smoke and b.s. but I am hoping wine coolers is an inside joke. no exactly an inside joke, but it goes like this. i used to drink alot as in enough to float tankers around. i realized i was going down a bad way and with the help of some friends i stopped drinking alltogether. i didnt drink for 4-5 yrs and then i justbarely was able to drink a touch. pretty much, the smell of most alcohol will turn my stomach nowadays, especially beer. so the only thing ive found i can drink is actually wine coolers or fruity drinks, or something so there is no way i can really taste the alcohol. hence the wine coolers being my favorite nowadays and they are cheap and since i dont drink very often anymore i can get tore out the frame on 2 6 packs of wine coolers. so i get my drink on for less than like 12$ which keeps me in the economical green. as to how often i drink nowadays, i took 3 6 packs with me to pigeon forge for july 4th this year and there is still 1.5 in the coooler. havent even drank since july 4th. and matt, family themed ? now your narrowing down your options, lol.
