Im now there is still more HP in there I was being easy on the car since I have it at college with me. Im sure with Q16 and some more boost it might be close to 400 WHP. The injectors are at there max and im already runing 46# of fuel pressure. Im sure i could go up a little, but I don't want to break anything. The clutch is also acting up already which is why i wanted to get it on the dyno before it went out. It will hold in gear, but WOT shifting it wont hold.

Thanks

Drew

This car will make 500hp on the right fuel IF it's tune right with MPI and all the good bolt on goodies. I think we had a bad batch of tuners or they had not gotten over their learning curve yet when guys were first blowing their motors here a few short years ago. Or guys trying to tune by the seat of their pants dyno. Next year we should have a bunch of guys in the 400/500hp range and it wont take 42psi to do it either. Lets put these old ideas away, same thing with the hyperutectic MYTH.

Great numbers, proof of how carefuly matched part selection can yield great prerformance, with out having to run "stoopid boost" levels.

So I guess it's official, my headder "doesn't suck" ;) (refering to another old thread stating it wouldn't add much, if any performance).

I agree with you 100%!!

+1 You desperatly need MPI. I was making more HP/TQ with just a 20g on a MPI setup...

I hope we can do MPI but i go to school 3 hours away from home where the car usually sits and collects dust...

Thank You!!

Chad, dont start acting like a little girl. I never said it sucked, I said not worth the money. HAHAHAHA! Besides he would have to do a pull with a setup stock manifold to prove anything about yours.

Someone should give me a T3 flanged stock manifold...

TBI and even MPI starquesters please note the use of a really good, nice turbo. Congrats dude, it must be a pretty wicked cam.

My dad(RGAV8R) spent many months working on our cam situation... He spent a heck of a lot of time on the degreeing and researching about cams. I thank him for that and I know he is proud now, I am aswell!!

I think this was key in those numbers. That and the cam.

Im not set on this turbo I actually want to sell it... I want to run a bigger compressor housing, this turbo has a 56 trim .50a/r compressor housing. I want to run a .70 a/r compressor. Does anyone think that would actually make a difference? I know turbos pretty well but not compressor a/r's.

Yeah, I bet that head flows well. Do you know if its a split duration cam?

I have a feeling the proper degreeing and oversized valves helped a ton.

Im not sure dad did all this cam and timing stuff himself. He is home now however they are meeting me at the beach tomorrow/today. So he might get on my computer when they get to my apartment he might not. However I know he will spill some on the cam but im not sure when or what.

I speak of others ;) the conversation has existed ever since I sold the first one 7 years ago.

there is a 60-1 and a 60-1 hi-fi housings (they both use the same compressor wheel), the difference is the hi-fi is smaller and designed for fitting in more compact aplications. The hi-fi does have less performance, but it's neglagable.

According to garretts own website, compressor A/R has only a small effect. Obviously it needs to be shaped correctly and appropiatly for the aplication, but small changes won't be noticed like they are on the turbine side. Don't spend your $$ just seeking a propper compresor AR, if it fits, it's probalby fine.

I dont think we have anything compared to MPI the only expensive thing on the car is the turbo. Other than that its just a straight motor build some stock injectors and a MAFT and some tubing and clamps... and a crap ton of time and effort and work.

If you consider most people doing MPI already have or plan to have a custom head and forged pistons.

true...I was hoping it was some astronomical amount so my mind would get off of this...lol

now, for some reason, I have this want to build a TBI G54B...before, I just wanted to drop a V8 in there...lol
