Performance, you get a stronger spark, its going straight from the coil to the plug, where as on a distributor car you are going from coil to dizzy then to plug. Really the best reason to do EDIS is because its so super stupid simple to setup on megasquirt. as long as you bolt everything up correctly, the settings are easy and it autolocates top dead center. the simplicity of install outweighs the performance gain as for as reasoning of choice Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I'm really not sure. I ran into so many problems along the way. Right now its like its not firing everytime, but whn you hold the coil wire to a ground it sparks everytime, the Timing is way off and not anywhere near 10btdc. and i can't adjust it as it should. Honestly, if the EDIS kit wasn't free i'd work the bugs out with DCC.... but since i'm getting 2 EDIS kits for nothing.... i'm gonna go ahead and switch Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
