Convette
I'm not worried about it right nowlike I said there is a spacer on the hub right now, the fenders are going wider, and once I figure out how the ball joint will mount with adjustment for camber, I should be able to get tons of steering angle. The spindles are going to be cut and rewelded to take lenght out of the steering joint, allowing more angle... easy..lol Edited June 24, 2009 by idriftjunk
Convette
slow going right now, not only is this and engine swap but a full restore. D_Venable
looking good John. I've always been curious if the SN95 Mustang spindles would work.
Convette
yeah I'm kinda going back through that whole thing. I'm still not sure if I'm going to use them, or have new steering/ball joints mounts CNC'd to work with the stock spindles. I think its going to be cheaper that way. Right now I'm trying to do everything I can that really doesn't cost much.
thagremlin
what color are you painting the cage? are you going to keep the red? if you are keeping the red.. i think painting the cage white would look good.. then throw in some seats like mine.. maybe black though.. and would really set it off along with your custom dash Edited July 26, 2009 by thagremlin

I'm not going to use red incase I change the color of the car... Which I might do in the future. I'm thinking a gunmetal/flake color for the inside. Whatever it is, its going to be all the same. Masking off the cage would suck a lot..lol Its hard enough painting it, trying to get in every little area. I will def be getting seats, buts thats down the road sometime. Convette
yeah I'm def thinking silverish for the suspension now. Got it all primered this weekend, and finished boxing in my k member. now just have to mount the rack, and have some steering pieces made, and the front shound be done(except for the coilovers.) http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/HPIM0078.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/HPIM0079.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/HPIM0088.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/HPIM0089.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/HPIM0090.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/HPIM0086.jpg http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/HPIM0082.jpg

Convette
not too much as of lately my car accident put a hold on the whole month. suspensions kinda done, its sitting pretty low even though theres no motor in it. Shp 9s with a 215/55 streched a little bit. Still might run a 1" spacer, its just not flush enough yet. Rear has a 1" spacer, might go with a 33mm spacer to get where I need to be. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/106_0307.jpghttp://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/106_0310.jpgvery rough early stages only got about 2hrs on it so far, finally getting the dash going. hopefully I'll have it pretty far underway by the end of January.http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/1261017180.jpghttp://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w239/johnboy9788/1260845845.jpg I have a digital version built but the pics are at work, and I'm not (thank god)
thagremlin
I would love to have a dash like yours. I like the way it slopes down which gives you a much better view. If I had design skills like you I would do it. Unless you've already come up with a few designs already that I could use lol. What kind of material are you building it out of

What kind of material are you building it out of I got a few different ideas, but like always on paper and real life are two different things. Its going to be fiberglass, covered in suede with a mix of carbon fiber. Shooting for half the weight of the stock dash, shouldn't be very difficult. Very simple, but more modern than the stock set up. I could never stand the stock dash. I'll post a better pic soon.
