was reading the viper thread and wondered.

What is your Dream car ? if you could have any in the world with out care of $$$. and why ? just because of looks ? power? the name ?

currently for the moment I will pick the the ruf ctr3 because its suite's my style. I like torque and handling.

http://www.rufautocentre.com/newcars/RUF_CTR3.asp a little $$ but then again its a dream ^^

and I would want it in iridescent dark blue. ^^ or candy apple green. with an ruf's PRO race set up ( add 50 more k to its cost but 1,000 hp / trq.) all squarely :driving:

I don't like picking out cars with "zero concern for money". It's just depressing because I'm instantly reminded that I'll most likely always have to be concerned with money. But in the top end of what it might be reasonable for me to own there's always been one car I long for, and this is it.

E class AMG cars have everything I want in a daily driver and the E63 pictured would be my choice. With 4 doors so you retain the option to offer to drive to lunch or whatever, every creature comfort you could dream of, oh and 507hp just in case there are any points to prove or scores to settle on the way home.

If I was single with no children to worry about I would have to go with the Aston Martin Vanquish...if I made some slight changes in location and career field I would be in line to own of these.

Being practical and keeping in line with my current salary and family I would have to go with the Cadillac STS

1970 buick grand sport stage 2 (1 of the 4 that was factory assembled)

Rarity, look, rediculous torq

Bigest reason. My dad had a stage 1 that I vegly remember (I was born in 79 so it was alreayd 9 when I was born) but I do remember when he would take it out and take me for rides. I said it sounds like there was a tiger in the tank and I would always ask him to make it grawl daddy I would get it and give it to him. Actuly I would sneek it into his gurage and swap his keys out while he was sleeping.

i wiki'd that and i came up with this....

There was also a very rare Stage 2 option produced. This was a dealer-installed package. If the car was ordered with the Stage 2 package, the parts were shipped with the car but were installed at the dealership. In general, it included special, larger port Stage 2 heads, matching headers, more radical cam, high compression forged pistons, Edelbrock B4B aluminum intake and other equipment for racing. Few were ever used on the street and Buick only ever factory assembled 3 Stage 2 test units. One of which was a factory GSX test mule with 4 speed manual transmission used for speed testing. The Stage 2 package's existence was not made public until 1972 when the Stage 2 parts could be ordered in any combination. There is little documentation about the Stage 2 cars.

so it was 1 of 3 per wiki haha, TALK ABOUT RARE!

This is a question that I have posed to myself over and over again over the past two years. And I still can not answer it. Mostly, like Chip said, money will always be an issue to me. Growning up my dream car was always the Camaro SS. Probably because I'm realistic about about life. Then in 2007, I got my Camaro SS. Now, I don't know what I want.

But I had to choose, I guess it would be this one, same color and all. The best of all worlds.

Even the stage 1 is rare. My dad was selling cars at the time and that is how he knew about it. The car was crazy. I remember he loved to take a $5 and tape it to the dash board and when he said go you would try and grab it if you get it you keep it if you don't you owe him $5.

You could do low range lockouts with it and it would build so much presure it would actuly kick it into 2nd

for me...either a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona...Hemi 4 speed preferably...but, seriously...who cares.

http://www.musclecarclub.com/musclecars/dodge-daytona/images/dodge-daytona-1969e.jpg

or a 2009 Range Rover supercharged Overfinch.

though, I will say, the Quest and my 68 cuda are definitley my favorites among these.

might make you laugh or cry , but my dad when he was in his 20's had 70 challenger s/e and a guy wanted to trade him the daytona for his car , he turned the guy down because he liked the challenger but now regrets it ...sigh.

my dad had a chance at a Superbird that was immaculate in the 80s for $4000. The only catch was, the rebuilt engine was on a stand next to it to be put back in...and my dad said, $4000 you put the motor in...the guy said no you put it in for $4000. And, that was the end of that.

Oh, and not to mention the 1971 billboard stripe big block (383) cuda my dad had, that he sold for $3500 and thought he did good in the late 90s. Needed paint and an interior :( thats all
