kaaos
are these good to use or is there such thing as cheap gaskets? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...em=310036136364
craig87
I'm a felpro guy I don't care to do the job twice to save a few bucks. the oil pump gasket and the head gadsket would scare me.
Dad
A few gaskets are turbo specific, ask the seller if it has oil squirter gaskets, oil pump gasket for turbo application. both o/rings for the oil filter housing, turbo mounting gaskets, rear cam seal block off. These are a few that I can recall that are included in my fel pro kits. Dad
JAinsworth
I agree with Dad. That gasket set would never be put on my car. It is basically a generic gasket kit designed for a non turbo 2.6 gasket kit. Jimmy
Guest
Looks like that kit maybe missing a gasket or two. As Dad mentioned ask if everything there that you'll need for a turbo application. I've used generic gaskets on many non SQ engines and on a few G54B engines....I just ad a little of the "Ultra Grey" stuff in places like oil pump, water pump and other areas. We did a cyl head job not long ago and used a generic headgasket set, no problem and I beat the heck out of it to make sure it wouldn't leak, three months and no leaks so far. Of course it all depends on how well and clean you work.
