spltscsalijsau, more pics of the first car please. Info on wheels/offsets if you got 'em.

well i can tell you those wheels are wantanabe 8 spokes. a classic jap wheel. you can get them stateside, and there are companies making knock off. I havent seen them in the proper size and offset for a widebody SQ though. as the offset is available 24mm to 48mm for a 7 and 8 inch wide. which is not even close to a good offset for a widebody SQ

AWESOME! i can't wait to see. just my opinion, don't shoot me for saying this: but i think the right wheels w/right offset and the right suspension is the key...

I agree.. the stance can make or break the look of your car.

the KYBs would be stock replacements that you can only get for the front now (ALMOST all rear bolt in performance options are gone) and the Ground Control springs would be the coilover sleeve kit that Ground Control offers.

I don't have the ground controls, but I do have coilover sleeves that an old school member, artinist, use to offer on SHP struts

Here's a pic of my front strut, the Ground Controls are pretty much the same:

the car above is Jayton's car

front stock replacements for a NON-SHP car are strut inserts, rears struts are full units (which are the discontinued items)

SHP cars are a little more tricky, as the stock replacement inserts are not a drop in affair as they are for non-shp cars. you ethier have to mod the SHP housing to fit stock replacement inserts, or swap over to non-shp front strut casings.

Then there's the whole MR2 insert "swap"(which I plan to do). the 2nd gen MR2 REAR inserts can be run in SHP housings front and rear (or non-shp front housings, rear SHP) after removing and patching the adjustment knob, and making a spacer (the MR2 inserts are 1.875" shorter) or shortening the housings that same amount.

Or you can splurge, and get the Mookee full coilovers.

that about sums up our strut options

OH, and 88-89 suspensions are the same. so struts for 86-89 (any of those years) TSI or ESI-R (widebody) can be interchanged

Heres the pics of the SSR's with the tires mounted. Maxxis MA Z1s 225/40 front 245/40 rear. I wanted a 35 series front and back and I dont like how they look on the wheels. I may be selling them if they look bad after I put them on the car.

when you say "bolt on unit", do you mean hes using bolts instead of studs and nuts? just asking because he says he listed "Muteki Lug nuts in red" in his thread. Edited by Mech

I just wanted red lug nuts to offset the color of my car :)

it's looks really good!!! good choice!!! :eek1bluegreen:

i think he used these ichiba or project kics (these are bolt on), they make it for mitsubishi with hubcentric ring...i believe up to 30mm:
