All of this came from this thread..........................................................................

I dont really remember where the stock holes were.I only cut the ''L''shape because it was easier to install with the mounts on and i could slide the engine back as far as possible. With my first swap,i just drilled holes where i wanted the engine to sit.

http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t126/timtsi/newpics031.jpg I just slotted the quest stands in an ''L'' shape to sit the engine down then slide back.with these mounts i had no trouble with the front sump oil pan clearing everything.theres a good inch and half between the oil pan and engine cradle.you will have to use fords small starter instead of the big one.steering linkage is no problem.I just hope the metal holds up at the mount.i put a huge washer on the back

I cut notches in the stands on the engine cradle and set the stock ford mounts right in.http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t126/timtsi/ImportedPhotos00032.jpg

Tim; the front sump pan you used, does it have an oil dipstick provision? I've been trying to find one with no luck. If you didn't need use one with a provision, what did you do with the stock dipstick?

This is the one I was looking at on Summit, but I found the same damn thing on eBay for half the price.

I've read the thread many times and have not seen any specifics on this, so hopefully I'm not asking a repeat question.

Thats correct.. My 5.0 has the dipstick in the block, but I'm thinking it has to be moved for the front sump pan/pickup. I suppose it could have another hole in the block that the dipstick could use, but I never looked.

Tim,

I know you used stock engine mounts, but did you use a left and right side mount or did you use two lefts or two rights? I have both left and right sides, but I reversed them to put the stud further back. Drivers side seems okay, but the passenger side still seems a little too far forward. I do stil have to slide the whole thing back about 2" and that should make it acceptable, figured i'd ask for sure first.
