show you wheels

Here's a pic I took in my kitchen a few months ago. Side by side, between the stocker's and these, there is almost no difference in diameter, even though the stocker's are 16" and the BBS's are 18". The pic is of the back wheel which is 10" wide. The tire is a 255/35r18, and the fronts are 235/40r18. They don't rub and IMO are the best looking aftermarket wheels I've seen on a S/Q. I have to use a 2 1/2" aluminum spacer on the rear and a 1/4" spacer on the front to get them to sit just right. The newer BBS Rk's are available in silver, gunmetal, or copper, but be ready to drop around $3000 for a set. I paid a $1000 for mine, used with tires. Oh, did I mention they're lighter than the stocker's too!

Post some pics on the car man! :D

And if someone spends $3000 for rims that don't fit offset wise, they need to be throughly examined in the noggin..

For that much, you can get virtually any width/offset you need from www.ccwheel.com

Right on...atleast w/ these I only had to use a 2 1/2" adapter. my old 18"s were a FWD offset and I had to use a much bigger adapter to get those to work, and they still didn't sit right under the fenders.

I'm not exactly sure of the size, but the newer Carrera's use a 5" or 6" adapter from the factory! You know which wheels I'm talking about; the ones that are kinda a "swept" five-star with no offset.

Alot of the aftermarket rims do look good, but you still can't go wrong with a nicely polished stock rim.

Oh Yeah, those look sharp...and I can see the ground reflecting off of them! Those are what I call "Choppers", cause when they spin they're just choppin' up some sunlight. Chop, chop, chop, chop.

Your pick reminds me of the TEP StarQuest.

Thank You. I really appreciate that. I take a HUGE amount of pride in my car, and the wheel polishing that I do.

these are Borbett Type A wheels. they came in 16x8 and 16x9 and fit our car perfectly but they are hard to find these days. I can't remember if they came in 17s. they were priced pretty good and looked nice for back then.
