Our area was big in textiles years ago so that's the term I know, but it's the fuzzy finish that lines the storage area when you lift the armrest up. I wanted a less noisy coin tray and glove box, but was lazy and glued some black velvet fabric to some sheet metal cut to size and dropped them in with some double sided tape.
