Malykaii
Just picked up a 4g64 wide block motor. I only plan to keep the bottom end. Any interest in the head, valve cover, or intake? Best offer. More info and pics if there's interest.
psu_Crash
No, we all want the block! For the same reason you do
88351wtsi
I feel dumb but why do we all want the block?
Malykaii
We all don't. A lot of people on here like the g54b motor. Others, my self included, feel inclined to throw our g54's into the ocean. G54b is an Astron series motor. Usually served in rwd/4x4 flavor. 4g63/4 is a Sirius motor, best known for its fwd/awd variants (called a narrow block) Now the 4g63/4 wide blocks are Sirius blocks but for rwd applications. They also share a bellhousing pattern and motormount position with the Astron rwd motors. In turn, a wide block literally bolts into the place of a rwd g54b. This bridges the gap between both worlds. It has been prophesized for years. So you then can bolt on an eclipse turbo head/setup and achieve mpi, dohc, distributorless awesomeness. Use a 4g64 and gain .4 litres over an eclipse. Sadly, the Mitsu gods didn't deliver enough wideblocks to satisfy the Mitsu race.

boostinmini
I have a d50 with that engine, not sure about differences but could always be interested in spare distribtir, or throttle body electronics
Malykaii
Actually, what you should be interested in is bolting on a dsm head in that truck, lolz. I'll take a look at the parts after the weekend and see if anything there is worthwhile for your needs. Turbo Cary
There's a dude in Australia that makes freeze press fit thermostat adapter to route the thermostat through the timing cover and towards the front of the engine. It is billet and looks sweet. Definitely a must if you don't want to run the small housing in the back and want to route coolant flow to the front
