Skrilla
What pads and rotors is everyone running?I'm looking for the best combination out there I can buy for the stock calipers.
Fanta
as for brand of rotors, not sure, but slotted rotors are always good brake pads I run Porterfield R4S on my Miata - dusty, but you want to talk about a predictable brake pad time and time again... jszucs
Got some EBC ceramics in mine. Don't really know what the rotors were but got 4 new one's (full faced) in the trunk when I bought the car. Had sat in there so long the sun had long faded the box printing to nothing. Only had to surface them to take the rust off, and I got a lathe to do so. Going to bet the cryo tec one's a pretty good though. Used them on other cars with great results.http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sph-126-46012csr/overview/model/starion
TexasQuest
EBC makes brake pads for our cars? Got a link?
jszucs
EBC makes brake pads for our cars? Got a link? Not exactly. IIRC they were for an RX7 that share the same calaper / pad design with us. I got them along time ago too. I'll try and search up the old threads where we talked about the cross over of the brake parts for our cars. Paging back though some notes and stuff I have saved. Looks like they came from Horse Power Freaks like 9 years ago. Here is one from the UK http://www.ebay.co.u...2 0 Turbo 82 88 http://www.ebc-brakes-uk.co.uk/car-brake-pads-shoes/mitsubishi-starion.html Edited August 14, 2014 by jszucs
AndyW
Porterfield pads and some simple SLOTTED ONLY rotors. Toss in some SS lines and eliminate the rear ABS and the thing will stop like a champ predictably every time. Auto-x this setup for years, was excellent. jszucs
Thanks for the links. Sucks they're only in Great Britain. N/P IIRC EBC is a british company. I got a set of pads for my Harley from them and had to have them shipped over too. They were very helpfull (parts are hard to come by sometimes for older Harlies) and they have been very gental on my pricy rotors.
