93 GSX TURBO
How do you like it? It's great man. No more wondering steering or having to constantly correct it. I just got done driving it and I got a chance to drive it on a straight flat road and just let go of the steering wheel and it tracked straight, I couldn't do that with old one. 93 GSX TURBO
In the picture the bolt head is pointed down but that's because I turned to tighten up the Allen bolts
93 GSX TURBO
Still working on some little things. Im still having an issue with the wipers not stopping and its looking like the ETACS is bad. I went ahead remove dthe wiper motor and cleaned it out anyways. Crazy filthy http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps5rqaccrz.jpg This bearing was almost seized, so I soaked it with PB Blaster and now it spins like new. http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpscbujfbcm.jpg I could not find a replacement steering wheel so I picked one up from Plymouth Laser. http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpslqzvxz1h.jpg I decided to add a little touch to it with the TSI logo. http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpstdwhqzv9.jpg

93 GSX TURBO
Wow this has come along nicely It has been a long process. I originally bought this car for myself, and then my dad got to liking it so I decided to build as gift for him (he is 69). I finally handed over the keys to him Saturday for the first time. Theres a little bit more work that needs to be done but its good for now. After he got home from his Sunday drive he asked what we could do to add more power. 93 GSX TURBO
Rented a rug doctor this morning and got to work on the interior. This really helped with funky smell the car had from sitting for so long when I first bought it. 93 GSX TURBO
This happened to the car 4 weeks ago. http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsq8irhw6i.jpg A car I just bought was being dropped off and well, things happen I guess. I should be getting it back sometime this week and hopefully in the same condition that it was in before the mishap.

93 GSX TURBO
It's been hot as all hell around here lately to I decided to work on the A/C. Started by checking and blowing out the drain hose under the carpet, it was clear but I guess it's good to check. Started by replacing the bad A/C pressure switch: http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsttqxprzw.jpg The new switch http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsuokrsfn8.jpg Switch installed http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsqxezmdjj.jpg Also replaced the drier. Also replaced about 8 different seals http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsspq3jte2.jpg The retrofit kit installed http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpspd5adrsx.jpg This was the temp in the car before starting. Outside it was around 97 http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zps5porgsvi.jpg Got the manifold and pump hooked up http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpscnwihtgd.jpg Put in 24oz of R134 and 3oz of oil http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsmbftx7hh.jpg The temp after getting it all charged up. Its blurry but its around 50-52 degrees http://i724.photobucket.com/albums/ww244/partsturbo/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsdkyi7reh.jpg Edited June 19, 2015 by 93 GSX TURBO
tsi_tom
Great stuff on the AC. Love the pictures too! I need to do this because it is hot as hell around here too. Where did you get the drier and the vacuum pump and gauges?

93 GSX TURBO
Great stuff on the AC. Love the pictures too! I need to do this because it is hot as hell around here too. Where did you get the drier and the vacuum pump and gauges? I got te drier and switch from RockAuto. The vacuum pump and gauges I got from Harbor Freight. It's the 100 dollar an pump, I think the smallest in their line up. I let it pull vacuum for around 30min. I've used this combo on five different cars so it's paid for itself a couple times over already. Just make sure to tighten up all the fittings on the manifold gauges before you use it, but other than that it's worked like a champ. mbruneaux
I can live without a lot of things, but in the summer I can't live without A/C, and it's really not that hot where I live.
