MY NEW TURBO--20G GOODNESS

TD06 20G--TD05H 10CM2 TURBINE---GOT TO FAB A BRACKET FOR THE WASTEGATE ACTUATOR AND MAKE SOME NEW PIPEING AND RELOCATE MY OIL CAN-----CANT WAIT TO TEAR IT UP WITH THIS NEW BADBOY---THX FOR LOOKING

Is that a 90deg elbow just before the MAF? That needs to go.

 

Just weld wastegate shut.

Yes....i know it sux..the mismatch of all my pipes in general is lousy...its on the short list.

You say weld the wastegate shut... I did not want to get into an external gate.... What other option do i have?

It seems like it's a Mitsu turbine housing, prolly a DSM turbine bored out for a td06 turbine wheel unless he opted for a bolt on starquest turbo.

 

Also, why does it look like there's a hole in your pwr steering reservoir?

so basically its a td05h 20g that could have mounted in a 05h stock housing? (the ones already modded for 05h)

Yes, but I would not recommend that. The housing he has will flow much better. Higher hp potential, less back pressure, maybe less or no surge problems.

A bracket bolted to the flat area of the compressor housing. .......................What are you using for the t3 adapter?

that was the plan to just fab up a bracket----to have no interference the housing needs to be pointed in a downward direction just about where you see it in the pic----if i rotate it upwards by the time i can do it without interference the outlet is pointing almost straight up----i was curious if it matters what direction it is pointing as creakyjoints mentions in his post.Here is a pic of the adaptor i have--i also ported my exhaust manifold to match it----

Hahn Racecraft used to sell these way back, but they offered 05 or 06/06h hotside, in 8 or 10cm. int wg included $599

The 10cm purpose was more flow and eliminate creep, still retaining int wg. They offered various spring cannisters

11.7 in a 2900 pound fwd 420a eclipse is respectable.

Rollo went 11.22 way back... 2.6 5spd street starquest with a super 20g, no spray. Hella impressive to me

I was just thinking that way you wouldnt have to remake a charge pipe is all.

 

I wish it was that easy.....with the T3 adaptor it sits almost 3" higher and the housing itself being larger than stock so no matter how I clocked it the pipe does not line up...the only way to attach the wastegate is to have it clocked downward like my pic and I still need to make a braket to get it to clear everything and still be able to fully open/close...

So im in your situation now. I m not sure how to mount my wastegate acuator. Did you figure out something? If so do you have a pic? Is it decent looking?

I MOCKED UP SOMETHING WITH A SECTION OF 1/4" PLYWOOD B4 I CUT ANYTHING ON THE WATERJET SO I HAVE A TEMPLATE---I JUST BEEN BUSY WITH OTHER PROJECTS SO ITS NOT COMPLETE YET---SHOULD BE DONE IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS----I WILL UPDATE THIS THREAD WHEN ITS INSTALLED--

I have the same turbo except from Godspeed perfomance my friend got it for his eclipse but it didn't like to stay bolt to the mainfold so I took it as payment for installing a super 16g and forced perfomance mainfold. I used the t3 adapter it came with for the eclipse and modified it for my Quest and used all the stock oil & coolent lines. All I left to make is a new down pipe and figure out how to hook it into the stock Intercooler piping I have a few pic I will post up when I get back home to my Pc. I will try with my phone but no promises on results
