  1. Thread may have been dead but the "quest" continues. So im hoping the two wire switch will solve my problem. Car is running very rich. I believe that switch is bad. Also the temp gauge pegs out in about 30 seconds. Im thinking maybe i have the two single wire connectors swapped
  2. After doing some more digging i found a thread where someone mentioned it could be for an a/c shut off switch?. Does this sound right! If so which one is which
  3. So it appears there are three coolant sensors. Two single wire and one two wire. Which one is for the ecu? Which one for the gauge? And what is the third for?
  4. Yes i do. So now shes alive again but running extremely rich. Will not idle on her own. Under 2k rpm puffs black smoke and will not rev over about 4k in neutral or 3k under load
  5. From the coil is a blue wire. About six inches to a little black box. Off that box is a black wire with an enclosed spade connector. Nothing is attached to this wire
  6. Im having thia exact problem. Car was running fine then today nothing. I jectors have constant 12v. No pulse. If i ground an injector wire it will run. Tach moves fine. Injectors pulse if i ground them manually. Plenty of spark. Pump is new runs good. Pulled the fuel line to the intake and jumpered test wire to pump. Lots of fuel. Just no inj pulse. Did anyone ever figure this guys situation out?
  7. Need to get back out there. The pressure plate was a mitsu but the disc had a ford stamp on it

  10. so I pulled my engine out of my 88 tsi. went to mount it to an engine stand. obviously had to pull the clutch and flywheel. that's when I noticed the big ford logo on the clutch, im thinking what the hell is this? anyone out there able to clear this up?
  11. I know its purpose but more or less was curious if anyone here has done away with it on this platform. Maybe used a simulator in its place. I ve seen posts where people have done 3/4 wire conversion, just now sure how much its needed in this simple of a platform.
  12. Bringing this beast back to life. Just got it running and am trying to trim the fat somto speak. I am in a state where emissions are not a concern so i have deleted the cats but i am looking at fab'ing up a downpipe but that odd shaped oem o2 sensor looks to be a pain in the rear. Being this is just the old school single wire o2 is there any serious concern to deleting this little guy? I am also planning on adding an o2 bung for my aem wideband. I am hoping to just run 2.5 straight back
  13. Dear God what have I done, lol
  14. So how do we get our cars exhaust to sound like this? Not the antilag or two step or anything like that just the plain old bad tail tractor exhaust. Will straight pipe do the job? Will a resonator or maybe an n1 style muffler kill the sound?
  15. This is an old thread and the links are no good and no pics. Anyone have anything they can share with me to make this happen?
  16. Ok all 8's look good and so do all 9's imo. I agree with you on the stagger but am not noticing it much in the black car in the video
  17. Thanks importwarrior, thats what i wanted to know. Well.... Do you happen to know if they re doing this without wheel spacers?
  18. I ve heard the battles of if its anti lag, 2step or rev limiter. I my DSM has ecmlink that has a section for antilag settings. Not sure on the proper terms but either way...... It kicks tail!
  19. I have an 88 radio with eq. The screen has a couple scratches. They may come out i havent messed with it at all. Its a racecar i dont car about the radio
  20. Personallyni love the way the wheels look on that red car.
  21. I have the oem downpipe with the cat intact and am about to remove my second cat. If you re interested make and offer you have have both
  22. So that picture has 9's in the rear and 8" rears in the front?
  23. Reason i ask is i have 2 good 8" rears i want to put on the front and am looking to buy 2 9" rears for the back. Will the non-shp 8's fit on the front or is the offset going to hurt me? Anyone know?
