So I got the radiator put in the car this past weekend and also dropped my gas tank. I had to drop it and get the old gas that has been in the car since 2006. It was a orangish color. Didn't see any rust in the tank and the tank filter looked fine. It had about 10 gallons in it.

Here's what I did for my radiator for the time being. It's pretty damn solid. After I took this first picture, I found that damn bolt that I dropped....lol.

So I'm trying to figure out how to wire my alternator. Can I splice it into my stock harness after I've already moved my battery to the rear of the car or do I run a whole new wire for it? Im puzzled..... What did you guys do or what is the best route to take?

my stock harness was pretty much long enough to stretch across for the alt, if you have a pigtale for the stock 2j alternator.. i just had to put that end on my harness... i rand it along the lower rad support,

Well I do have that pig tail your talking about. I should have been more specific. The main power wire that runs from the alternator is what I'm talking about.

I made a new wire out of 2 gauge from the alternator to a new custom made fusible link then to the battery. Basically http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d182/Professor-Quest123/Catalog%201/P1011339.jpg

Finally got my intercooler. I spent this past friday cutting on the bumper some to get it to fit. I still have a little more work to do this week and I should be close to fitting it in place....

The welds look crappy but they work right now...lol. I'm going to go back and make them look pretty once I get ready to paint all that.

Great thread and beautiful car. Haven't been here in a while since I sold my Fiji 88. I've since moved on and now own a 731whp 04 Mach 1. Although its fun as hell to drive on the street, I miss my Conquest. I have been reading up on these swaps and they seem like a great option for me. My favorite car of all time: the Conquest/Starion...sickest motor, 2JZ. I am now looking for another Conquest shell and Supra motor so I can start the long process of getting this done. First question is where are you guys getting these motors? I see JDM has quite a bit of them on ebay for 1600 and up with auto trans.

Here is the power steering cooler mounted. I still have to run some return lines and finish securing it to the hood latch area. Hopefully it's going to work out like I wanted.

Thanks man. Sounds like you have one mean mustang. I purchased my motor way back in Oct. 2010 from JDM planet. I got it with the W58 trans for around $2700 I think shipped to the house. This is the biggest build I've ever tried to take on, so it's kind of a learning expierence for me. I'm enjoying the hell out of it. I usually only have Fridays to work on it and spend all damn day doing it. Hate to stop and eat lunch some days...lol. These cars are a lot of fun to drive just for the soul purpose of nobody knowing what they are. I've had mine since high school. It used to break down on me all the time, it's been rear ended by a Mercedes, and been through 2 G54B's. I was tired of messing with that motor. I seen Serpent's thread and went for it. Once I got the motor I was worried about all the fab work that went along with it. But Vettekiller making the motor mounts helped me a hell of a lot. Boho has a lot of good stuff to reference from on his thread. I'm to the point in my build where I need to do the trans mount and I'll be trying to figure that mess out this weekend.

Boho.....I'm trying man....lol

might want to contact Funky Phil. i thought he made a nice trans mount for the R154.

allthough it was for the G54b. it might not take much or anything at all to get it to work

with the 2JZ setup. i think he did a small batch of 10 or so. i seen pics on his web site.

I got the FPR put on this past Friday. I thought the kit from driftmotion came with everything I needed and that wasnt the case. I still needed a line from the filter to the fuel line.
